Fourth of July celebrations and fireworks displays pop up all over the Chicago area in honor of Independence Day. Communities in DuPage County, in southwestern Chicagoland, offer a variety in patriotic festivities to choose from.

Festivals and Fireworks
Lisle
The carnival in Lisle is from July 1 - 5, and the festival July 2 - 4. Hot air balloon frights and fireworks are presented on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Lombard - Taste of Lombard July 1 - 5
The fireworks show is at 9:30 pm on July 4 in Lombard.

July 3
Oak Brook July 3
The celebration is at the Polo Fields at 31st and York Road in Oak Brook. Starting at 4 pm there will be foods and beverages available from vendors at Taste of Oak Brook. The fireworks show is at dusk.
Warrenville July 3
The celebration at Cerny Park runs from 5 to 10 pm, with fireworks at the end of the festivities.
July 4
Aurora July 4
The fireworks at Aurora Central Catholic High School begin at 9:30 pm. There will be family activities for before the show.
Bartlett July 4
The party begins at noon, with food and beer tents, a carnival, a tractor pull, face painting, turtle racing, bingo and music by Big Guitars from Memphis and Rt. 66. The fireworks begin at 9:30 pm.
Batavia July 4
Engstrom Park will open at 5:00 pm, with food vendors and movie for the community. The Sky Concert fireworks display begins at 9:30 pm.
Bensenville July 4
The celebration kicks off with the sounds of The New Colony Six at 7:30 pm. Fireworks begin after the concert. Refreshments will be available for sale.
Carol Stream July 4
There will be Lou Malnati’s pizza for sale and music by the Country Sky Band before the fireworks show, which begins at dusk.
Downers Grove July 4
Independence Day Ceremony is at 9:30 at Downers Grove Museum. The parade kicks off at 12:30 pm in Main Street. Fireworks are a 9:00 pm at Lemont Road and 75th “Street in Downers Grove.
Glen Ellyn July 4
The fun at Lake Ellyn Park begins at 1:30 with family fun, food, carnival and music by “1969.” The fireworks begin at dusk.
Itasca July 4
There will be food and drink available at Hamilton Lakes beginng at 4 pm. Music by Lifehouse starts at 8 pm. The fireworks show is at dusk.
North Aurora July 4
The fireworks show is at dusk at Aurora Towne Center
Roselle July 4
An evening of music and entertainment is planned at Lake Park High School starting at 5:30 pm. Fireworks begin at dusk.
St. Charles July 4
Fireworks at dusk at Pottawatomie Park
Streamwood July 4
The fireworks at Dolphin Park begin at dusk.
Westmont July 4
Community event and fireworks at Ty Warner Park
Wheaton July 4
The 2009 parade is the conclusion of Wheaton’s yearlong 150th anniversary celebration, themed “Celebrating Tomorrow.” The parade begins at 10 am at Hawthorne and Main Street and travels south. The fireworks show begins at dusk at the DuPage County fairground on Manchester Road east f county Farm Road. The fairgrounds open at 6:30 pm. Arrive early as parking fills up quickly.
