Community Festivals and Fireworks
The fireworks show is on July 3 at Arlington Park, after the day of horse racing.
Barrington July 1 - 4
The 25th Annual Barrington 4th of July Celebration Fireworks is a family friendly festival that celebrates our nation’s independence. The downtown Barrington celebration includes live music, family fun activities and a beer and brat tent. are on July 4 starting at dusk.
Village of Hoffman Estates July 1 – 5
The carnival will be held at 1900 Hassell Road in Hoffman Estates
There will be two fireworks shows held during the festival. On July 1 and July 4 there will be a fireworks spectacular at 9 30 pm. The Fourth of July Parade is on July 4, starting at 1:00 PM.
Village of Palatine July 1 to 5
Palatine Jaycees Hometown Fest (4th of July Festival) runs from July 1 to July 5 at the community park near the intersection of Palatine Road and Hicks Road. The festival features food, music and entertainment. Fireworks will be on July 3 at 9:30 pm.
Park Ridge July 3
The Park Ridge fireworks show is at Maine East High School on July 3 at dusk. Patriotic music pays tribute to the people, history and landscape of America. Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture will accompany the fireworks show at dusk.
July 4 Fireworks
Buffalo Grove July 4
The Buffalo Grove fireworks take off at the Buffalo Grove Golf Course on Lake Cook Road and Raupp Boulevard. There will be a two hour pre fireworks concerts performed by the Buffalo Grove Symphonic Band.
Des Plaines July 4
The grounds of Oakton Community College open at 4 pm for picnicking, children’s games, pony rides and face painting. Family friendly activities include a petting zoo, Patch 22 and a miniature train ride for kids. The Des Plaines Historic Society will sell picnic food. Music will be performed by a band called “Tripple Shot from 5 to 7 pm. The Des Plaines Park District Community Concert Band will perform during the fireworks show, which starts at 9 pm.
Elgin July 4
Entertainment begins at 7 pm at Elgin Sports Complex with live music and food. The fireworks show starts at 9:30 pm.
Elk Grove Village July 4
Lion’s Club Independence Day Fireworks on Saturday, July 4 at 9 pm at Lions Park
Village of Roselle July 4
Fireworks will be held at Lake Park High School West Campus on July 4: fireworks begin at dusk
Village of Streamwood July 4
Fireworks at Dolphin Park on July 4 at dusk
Wheeling July 4
Wheeling downsized their Freedom Fest from a three day festival into a one day commemoration with a parade and fireworks show. The Parade steps off at 7:30 pm. Fireworks start at dusk, about 9:15 pm, at Heritage Park.

If it is raining will the fire works still go off?
Connie - That is a good question and I really cannot answer it. It depends on the community and how much rain their is. Some might have a rain date. Hopefully it won't rain.
