Incredible video of building floating away in Nashville, TN flooding. Saturday, heavy rains fell on Nashville, Tennessee creating massive flooding that killed at least five people according to authorities, more rain is expected Sunday. The Harpeth River rose to almost 26 feet late Saturday evening and caused widespread flooding throughout the Nashville area.

The incredible video below shows a large building floating through flood waters and gaining speed until it hits a truck and splits apart.

Saturday, two people were killed when their SUV was caught in flood waters in Dover, 80 miles outside Nashville. Another person is dead in Davidson County, and two others in Williamson County and Carroll County, according to Tennessee Emergency Management.

"This is one of the most severe rain events Nashville has ever experienced," Nashville Mayor Karl Dean said. "I urge all Nashville residents to stay home and stay off the roads," Dean said.

Over 50 water rescues were done Saturday, and many others were still waiting to be rescued.

People who are safe in their homes have been asked by authorities to stay there because many roads are closed. Shelters have opened around the city for people who have been displaced. One shelter opened at Lipscomb University, and officials are planning others.

According to the National Weather Service, everyone in the US lives in a flood area. Six weeks ago, during Flood Safety Awareness week officials announced that Utah is in little threat of flooding this year, but warned that flooding can occur quickly without warning. In the state of Utah, 31 people have been killed from flash floods since 1950.

    I think it's interesting with an epic storm happening in full swing, how one could see the Nashville Chief of Police and the Mayor of Nashville at a Jimmy Buffett concert when there were people's lives at risk outside in their city.
