There is are two upcoming meetings for riders of the Pioneer Valley Transit Authority (PVTA)’s paratransit service. Topics will include an update on the scheduling software and the software systems call back feature.

The first is on Thursday, Feb. 27. It will take place at the Northampton Senior Center. The building is located at 67 Conz Street in Northampton, MA. The meeting is will take place from 4-5 p.m. The second is on Tuesday, March 5. It will take place at the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission. The building is located at 6O Congress Street in Springfield, MA. It will take place from 1-2 p.m.

Spanish and ASL interpreters, as well assistive listening devices are available with 72 hours notice. For Thursday’s meeting the deadline is tomorrow at 4 p.m. and Saturday, March 1 at 1 p.m. for t.he March 4 meeting The way to r to reserve any of these services is by calling (413) 781-6045, extension 320 or by sending an e-mail to If making requests about the second meeting, it might be advisable to call while the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission office (where calls about these meetings are routed) is still open on Friday to increase your chances of speaking to a person instead of a machine.

Free paratransit rides are available to and from each meeting. Simply tell the reservation agent that you are attending the meeting when you book the trip. Come and make your voice heard.
