Year round horseback riding on Cape Cod
The Cape’s mild weather allows Nancy Sheridan and her family to offer horseback trail rides throughout the year. While summers may be busy, and booking well in advance is advised, spring and fall are great times to enjoy a Cape Cod horseback riding vacation.
Couples who have celebrate their wedding on Cape Cod can enjoy an Emerald Hollow Farm trail ride during their honeymoon. In winter, even when there is snow on the ground, the Sheridan’s enjoy taking people out to see the more than 800 acres of Punkhorn Parklands Conservation Area throughout the changing seasons.
Family run Emerald Hollow Farm emphasizes safe and relaxing horseback riding
Emerald Hollow Farm is truly a family run horse stable. Nancy and her daughter Nicole lead the trail rides, and son Charlie ensures that the horses are happy and well cared for, while everyone in the family shares in day-to-day horse care chores.
The horses are part of the family as well. Most are older, quiet horses that the family has worked with for years so they are very steady, even with inexperienced riders. This helps to keep the trail rides relaxing and safe.

As many horse stables are discontinuing trail rides due to liability concerns and rising insurance costs, Nancy is proud to say that Emerald Hollow has operated accident free for nine years.
She attributes that to having the right horses and to paying attention to the skills and comfort levels of her riders.
Emerald Hollow Farm also offers pony rides and horse-themed birthday parties, as well as lessons and both full and seasonal boarding.
