Include "Eye-Candy" In Your Blog Post And Get Rewarded By Google?

Creating a blog is a great way to build your brand, but let’s face it, nobody wants to read an article that’s all text. People would much rather have something they could look at to go along with all of those words. This is why it’s become common practice for bloggers and content writers to add some type of “eye-candy” to their posts.

A picture is often worth a thousand words. Sometimes, a nice picture to go along with your article can get the attention of a reader and even help your reader to understand what your article is all about. If that’s not enough, you could take things a bit further and include a short video in your posts. If a picture is worth a thousand words, than imagine the value of a video.

Value Of a Video

Adding a video to your blog post will keep your reader’s eyes locked onto your blog post. This will help because when an article is all text, the chances are the content gets skimmed over or glanced at rather than read all the way through. Also, keep in mind that there are many updates from Google that particularly like to see video in your content and you may actually be rewarded for this. Pay attention to the results you see on the first page the next time you do a search in Google. You might notice that there are videos that are being ranked higher than actual blog posts.
