Incarnate #2 Review: Demons and the Battle of Life

When we left off in Issue 1, Mot had been injured and taken hostage by Vincent and a mysterious blond-haired girl. Issue 2 begins in the middle of the episode, where we find Mot sitting with a cig at the top of a huge mansion contemplating death.

He's joined by an imaginary, black-eyed soul that looks exactly like him and calls him Teremun. At one point, the mysterious figure appears to be Death itself.

As the book continues, we're then brought up to speed from the capture of Mot and Connor involving the blond-haired girl who appears as a spoiled little rich girl the way she demands to have her way with them. They're given a choice of death, or follow her rules. Obviously, Mot chooses not to abide by anyone's rules, which intrigues the girl.

At this point, she's parading aroun din a skimpy white dress that seems to only fool the fool, Connor. The result, the same device mentioned in Issue #1 that kills demons is implanted into the bones of the two demons keeping them as pets to the spoiled brat.

What happens next? I'll leave to the reading of this issue. But do expect the same amount of blood and violence as issue 1. Previous demons from issue 1 make their way back into the grappling reaches of Mot, as well as Vincent who sets off a serious massacre with Connor. We also discover Mot has an incredible secret power, which makes him the perfect villain and hero.

Incarnate #2 is filled with violence, flirtateous encounteres and a touch of manga-styled sexuality. Of the first and second releases of Incarnate, Issue 2 is by far my favorite.

Seriously, do you live under a rock or something?! This comic is CRAP! It's an amalgamation of imagery and plot devices stolen from manga and other horror comics!
