Did you know that Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th president of the United States, was inaugurated at the Ansley Wilcox Mansion on Delaware Avenue in Buffalo, N.Y.? The Ansley Wilcox Mansion was eventually renamed the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site and was declared a National Historical Site in 1966. Buffalo, N.Y. is one of only four cities where presidents have been inaugurated: New York City, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. are the other three.
