Not nearly as many Americans are as excited about President Barack Obama’s second term swearing-in ceremony, The Christian Post reported on Wednesday, Jan. 9, but there is some excitement.

Inauguration Day generally falls on Jan. 20 each year, but because Jan. 20, 2013 falls on a Sunday, President Barack Obama will be sworn for his second term on Monday, Jan. 21, which also happens to be Martin Luther King Day.

For more information about President Obama’s swearing-in ceremony check out the Wednesday, Jan. 8 Washingtonian Blog post "The Secret Service's Dos and Don’ts for Inauguration Day". "The Secret Service Dos and Don’ts” contains a specific security plan for the inaugural activities spanning Sunday, Jan. 20 and Monday Jan. 21, 2013.

Did you know that Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th president of the United States, was inaugurated at the Ansley Wilcox Mansion on Delaware Avenue in Buffalo, N.Y.? Following the death of President William McKinley on Sept. 14, 1901, Theodore Roosevelt, just 42-years-old, became the youngest man to assume the office of President.

The Ansley Wilcox Mansion was eventually renamed the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site and was declared a National Historical Site in 1966. Buffalo, N.Y. is one of only four cities where presidents have been inaugurated: New York City, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. are the other three.

Frugal families can find many free online resources to help them learn more about President Theodore Roosevelt and the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site. All you need to do to provide activities and learning opportunities about Theodore Roosevelt is spend a few dollars on a black ink cartridge, some paper for the printer and maybe a dollar or two to make copies if you do not want to use up all your printer ink.
