Dead Rising 2 cover.
When it came out in 2006, Dead Rising became one of the first breakout hits for the Xbox 360. Even though the sequel is highly anticipated, Capcom isn’t feeling any pressure with Dead Rising 2; instead, the Japanese game company takes it as an obligation. Capcom’s Kenji Inafune explains through a translator in a recent video interview with IGN:
With Dead Rising 1, since it was such a big hit, you think there’s a lot of pressure. But rather than thinking about the pressure that comes with making Dead Rising 2, I felt more of an obligation that we had to make a game that the end users will going to appreciate. They’ve been waiting a long time for a sequel and so I just want to really knock it out of the park. So I’m proud of what we’ve been able to create. It just took bravery. Sometimes you just got to do it and we’ll be able to do it I think for this game.
Dead Rising 2 will be released sometime in 2010 for the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

So I'm assuming the fact that the wants to "knock it out of the park" means it will be a a crappy game, or am I just misunderstanding him?
Of course he wants it to make it into a crappy game. That's why he's putting so much time and effort into it.
@Nate
It's an American term as far as I know? It refers to baseball (American Sport), when you hit a ball out of a park it's a home run! That means their shooting for a great game!
Thanks Leonesaurus. Idiots like the second commentor hide in the anonymity of the internet to be condescending ass holes.
really want this.
but for the love of god capcom fix 3 things.
1 include a auto save and proper save function.
i lost count the amount of missions i have had to redo because there is no auto save.
2 have a proper mission layout, the game is just to scattered it feels like a online game or something, it feels like your killing for the sake of it, it feels like theres no progression.
3 make it easier to kill zombies and increase your health.
your constantly surrounded by 100000 zombies you get hit twice your dead.
ridiculous!
