In theaters next spring - 'The Muppets...Again'

Since the release of “The Muppets” in 2011 grossed $158 million worldwide, Walt Disney is bringing them back in “The Muppets…Again” coming to theaters in 2014.

Director James Bobin brings us the mismatched group as they travel around the world. Heading for Berlin, Madrid and London, the Muppets get to explore various theaters on their world tour. The tour goes sour, though, when they find themselves caught up in an international crime caper led by Constantine – the World’s number one criminal and a clone of Kermit the frog. His deadly sidekick, Dominic, also known as “Number Two,” is to be played by Ricky Gervais. Ty Burrell is the Interpol agent Jean Pierre Napoleon who helps the Muppets get straightened out once more.

“The Muppet’s…Again” was supposed to have Christoph Waltz leading the way as the starring role, however, his schedule left him out of this one. Ty Burrell from ABC’s “Modern Family” claimed the role instead.

When Kermit is asked about the film, he states;

This movie takes us places we’ve never been before. And, trust me, this frog has never seen so much international flavor. I think audiences will eat it up – the entertainment, that is.

The Walt Disney family film will host the voices of:

Steve Whitmire as Kermit
Eric Jacobson as Miss Piggy
Ty Burrell as Interpol Inspector Jean Pierre Napoleon
Ricky Gervais as Dominic, aka Number Two
Tina Fey as Nadya

Watch for “The Muppets…Again” in theaters on Friday, March 21, 2014.
