Theresa M. Jarmuz, M.D. is certified by The American Board of Otolaryngology (head and neck surgery) and by The American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. She is a member of The American Medical Association, The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, The American Academy of Otolaryngology, The Atlanta Medical Women's Alliance, and The Medical Association of Georgia.
Theresa M. Jarmuz, M.D. began her higher education in Boston, Massachusetts where she received her Bachelor's degree with honors, magna cum laude, in Psychology. Dr. Jarmuz then returned to her hometown of Buffalo, New York to attend the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, where she obtained her M.D. degree. Her postgraduate training in General Surgery was completed through the Emory University affiliated hospitals in Atlanta, Georgia. Following this, she also completed her surgical subspecialty training through Emory University in Otolaryngology.
During her training at Emory, Dr. Jarmuz developed a strong interest in plastic surgery of the face, head and neck. Due to her interest and background, she was chosen for a Fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and received one of only 37 positions nationwide.
Dr. Jarmuz offers a full line of surgical and non-surgical procedures for the face, including Atlanta face lift, eyelid surgery and rhinoplasty as well as BOTOX® Cosmetic and laser hair removal. She is particularly interested in helping her patients prevent signs of aging with the least invasive treatments possible to address their cosmetic concerns.
