Racism is killing the American Spirit, and it’s not surprising, when you consider that the premise for devising the word came from a desire to create chaos. In Webster’s New World Dictionary (1980), the word “race” is defined as genetic differences (Mongoloid, Negroid, and Caucasoid) first, then differences of ethnicity, and lastly, “any group of people having the same activities, habits, ideas, etc.” That’s a lot for such a little word. We now know that all human life began in one place – Africa - everyone living today can be traced back to that one area. Look at this quote from the Bradshaw Foundation-Migration Articles (2013):
”Secondly, says Clark Howell of UC Berkeley, "the fossils are unmistakably non Neanderthal and show that (modern) humans had evolved in Africa long before the European Neanderthals disappeared. They demonstrate conclusively that there was never a Neanderthal stage in human evolution."
I included the last sentence for those stubborn purveyors of chaos who insist on resurrecting the Neanderthal race, wow!!
The genetic differences that we can now detect came about much later in human evolution; as groups moved away from home into unfamiliar and often harsh geography and climate they had to adapt; that’s it…nothing more, nothing less. What we consider to be “race” is merely a reference to the areas where humans lived when Darwin popped his head out of Europe (yes, cartographers in the 1500’s named the entire northern part of Africa “Negroland – Land of the Black-faced people”). This diversion of using skin color as a focus of fear and hate has silenced the dialog about the purpose and usefulness of genetic differences and the impact this has on the continued evolution of human life for over 2000 years. That’s a long time to subject people to ignorance, but that’s what has happened!!.
It achieved its goal of alienating humankind from an important key to individual power, the power of love. It set the stage for government and religion to further dis-empower human beings by setting a power above them (God or Government), then divide and conquer the energy of the people. The lumping together of groups of people based on their ability and willingness to become production resources to expand profit, began as a way to control the masses of conquered people for the benefit of corporations (or back then, financial empires). And it is time for the chaos to end!!
The truth of the matter is that we have spent more time together as creative, loving, learning human beings then we have been separated. I believe that there was never a need or desire to define, or be defined, as a “group” separate from the whole of humanity. The determination to carve out and erase the history of ancient Black African civilization from the face of the earth and create a story that inserts a more recent and less refined civilization in its place, has proven to be a lost cause and waste of time and energy. A lost cause, because nature (and all things divine) refuses to be separated and will always maintain balance and order; hence, the new “average human” is once again a blend of all of the so called races. A waste of time and energy, because the lack of knowledge of our past has now hindered our creative ability to form a new and better way of living, hence we are frozen in a man-made hell on earth that is only getting more and more hellish, and we don’t know how to stop ourselves from self-destruction. The hole that was dug for one has become the grave for all!!
Here in America the determination to destroy the African psyche through institutionalized discrimination, ostracizing, humiliation and degradation has only led to the emotional and spiritual bankruptcy of all Americans. To the extent that with all of our technology, we are no more intelligent as a country then we were 100 years ago. We are no better educated, we are not more inventive, far less compassionate, and the highest populated and most heavily depended on sector of our society, the middle class, has been destroyed. In the past 13 years, the elders have had their retirement funds stolen, their children have lost their homes, and their grandchildren can’t find a job, even though they are drowning in debt to institutions of higher learning that trained them to be good workers but not good people!!
That should have been a wake-up call because it wasn't an issue of race, but rather maintaining the imbalance of power and economic control, it was corporations destroying the lives and futures of the American people. America’s claim to be the strongest, brightest, and best has gone unrealized because the majority of our strongest, brightest and best wake up in the morning in fear for their lives because they know that they are hated because of the color of their skin…in America. Hundreds of thousands of people (of all ethnicities) are homeless, children unfed, elders neglected, and people (and their pets) generally stressed out by the living and working conditions…in America!!
We cannot continue to be sidetracked by nonsense, when corporate governments are suppressing your unalienable rights to life, liberty, and equality in favor of higher corporate profits. And when I say corporation, I’m talking about the people who work and agree to do their part to implement actions that will have a negative impact on millions of their fellow human beings. We can’t continue to hide behind the ridiculous, abstract dribble about a corporation being an “entity unto itself,” an entity just as fictitious as Peter Pan; it’s just a character in a story, but we each hold a little of him inside. And we continue to align ourselves to these fictitious, non-existent entities that take all of the responsibility, but not really, because it isn’t real, not really real. They are only real to each other, they give each other validity and value. Human beings (and that little piece of Peter Pan and Barbie stirring deep inside) agree to be responsible for the implementation of the entity’s purpose. Forget their own purpose to be at peace, because how can you be at peace building a bomb – or a part that is used in making bombs – or training people to use the bombs, let alone the person who drops the bomb; where is their peace, what about their purpose!!
But we choose, we choose, we choose every second of the day. We have an obligation to life itself to continue to transform to higher levels of consciousness, to uplift our spirits and energize our psyches; to elevate our experiences, interactions and relationships, to make better decisions that have a positive impact on humanity and the planet. When humans break the shackles of the American dream we will awake to the reality of our power to manifest our highest intent for ourselves, our families, and our communities through love. We must each take an account of our own values, attitudes and moral beliefs, with a clear understanding of how they were formed and why we have maintained them. Was our value of things born from a fear of lack; do we maintain an attitude of entitlement because of fears of unworthiness. Fears are strong emotions that can be reconciled and transformed from within, with time and persistence. Human beings can and must teach themselves to stand up for love and peace, for equality and justice; by practicing these higher virtues at home, work, and play; if we are to continue on this planet that is alive with order and balance. Then we can trust in our higher spiritual abilities to manifest the greatness that we seek, not just for ourselves but for all. Peace!!
