Modern Love, as I seek to define it, necessitates the egalitarian view of and behavior toward both partners. I don’t care how royal a man’s family may be, or his religion for that matter; but if someone hides behind either to justify abuse of another, I’m going to ask the hard questions. Is there a connection in this situation, or are we dealing with suspected garden-variety sadism? More information will have to come out to determine that answer, but at least for now it seems that this young woman’s prayers were finally heard.
