You know it’s a sad commentary for the country when the world can easily see that which we make excuses for, under the pretense of leadership. It’s a sad state of affairs for the country to be led by those who don’t have a destination. You can’t reject responsibility and call yourself a leader.
The world quickly dismisses America’s leadership, basically because, they can’t find it. It’s been missing in action over the last five years.
When the new President of Iran, comes to America, dismiss the President of the United States, refuse to have a sit down with him, even if it would have been historical, that says a lot about the character of leadership in the country. It also says a lot about the character of Americans.
President Obama, at the U.N. General Assembly stated, ‘the world is more stable now than it was five years ago,’ as if to say, under George Bush, the world was unstable. In the eyes of this administration, instability represents stability.
Under Bush‘s watch, there was only one terrorist attack within the boundaries of the United States and for the remainder of his term, drone attacks kept terrorists underground, groping for light at the end of a tunnel that wasn’t there. That’s called national security.
Under this administration, former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was shot in the head at point blank range, a theater in Aurora, Colorado was shot up, there was an attack on Ft. Hood, Texas, an attack at Sandy Hook Elementary School, the Boston Marathon Bombings and the Navy Shipyard killing spree. The last time we checked, America is still a part of the world.
Under this administration’s stability assertion, there’s the Arab Spring, a quest for complete Muslim dominations of the Middle East, the American Consulate in Benghazi was attacked by Muslims and a British soldier was decapitated in public by Muslims.
All over the Middle East, burning bibles and killing Christians is free, and less we forget Kenya, where scores of Christians are dead by the hands of Muslims and yet, all this represents stability.
In the eyes of Texas, Syria’s use of chemical weapons on Muslims rebels is not a security threat. What this administration claims stable, is.
