"In The Blink Of An Eye" is a movie loosely based on the true story of Sonia 'Sonni' Jacobs and Jesse Tafero. "In The Blink Of An Eye" aired on ABC for the first time in March 1996 as a Sunday night movie, according to the Sun Sentinel.

Film producer Micki Dickoff puts her career on hold to help a childhood friend who has been falsely accused of the murder of two policemen. Feeling that her friend is innocent, Micki is determined to find evidenced that will eventually exonerate a woman who has been in prison for almost two decades.

The movie is based on the true story of Sonia Jacobs and Jesse Tafero. Sonia was eventually released from prison. Jesse Tafero received the death penalty and was executed for the crime.

Sonia Jacobs is also known as: Sunni Jacobs, Sonni Jacobs and Sunny Jacobs.

The movie contains themes related to: wrongful convictions, women falsely imprisononed, exoneration and death penalty
