On June 11th at the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino, local concert producers Guerrilla Union hosted their annual Spring Gathering festival. The 2011 event featured performances from Snoop Dogg, Cypress Hill, Stephen Marley, Travis Barker and a host of other hip-hop and reggae acts. The event's aim was to blend the worlds of music and cannabis culture, and to that end the event also featured a Medical Marijuana Expo.
The music portion of the festival was held on one indoor stage which was well lit, however, predominantly with back lights and reds & blues. Because the stage was not designed originally to host concerts, there are no spotlights, so photographing required a fast f2.8 aperture. The accompanying photo gallery to the left is the result of using a 24-70mm lens shooting f2.8 the entire event.
