On August 24th and 25th, the 10th annual FYF Festival took over Downtown's Historic State Park and celebrated its biggest year yet. The 2013 edition of the festival featured both bigger stages, and larger set-up to accommodate a line up that featured indie stalwarts including: !!! (Chk Chk Chk), Death Grips, Devendra Banhart, Baroness, Beach House, The Breeders, Deerhunter, FLAG, Flume, Foxygen, Holy Ghost!, How To Dress Well, The Melvins, MGMT, My Bloody Valentine, Nosaj Thing, Pional, Poolside, Simian Mobile Disco, Toro Y Moi, TV On The Radio, Washed Out, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Yo La Tengo.
While the event was a success on many levels, the festival did have issues when it came to headliner My Bloody Valentine. Known for their crashing waves of guitar feedback, My Bloody Valentine's drenching assault of noise caused some trouble with the main stage speakers to the dismay of fans, but not likely to the neighbors.
