Although Alt-J formed in 2007 in Leeds, England, the band hit their stride in 2012 with their major label debut 'An Awesome Wave.' The band found massive success overseas, winning the prestigious Mercury Prize for best album in England, and attaining gold selling status in Australia. Indie fans stateside will have an opportunity to catch Alt-J during their appearance at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival on April 12th and 19th. The band had previously performed several shows in Los Angeles, and in advance of their Coachella set, take a look at these photos from the bands appearance at The Echo in early 2012.
