Katharine McPhee and Mike Vogel have fans excited for their movie “In My Dreams.” The individuals might have great acting skills, but when they hit the screen together, there is a chemistry that makes the story come alive. The Hallmark movie is set to air on ABC, but the fans who have seen the sneak peeks have raved about how the onscreen couple captures everyone’s attention. According to KABC on Friday, Katharine McPhee was drawn to the script as it offered a look at how her character is a hopeless romantic.
“In My Dreams” is fantasy mixed with the idea that looking for love is not a lost art. Nick and Natalie are the perfect pair, but there are a couple of things blocking their path to romantic bliss. Offering a look at their lives, viewers can see how they might be the perfect couple, but how is that possible? It happens after they each make a wish and throw their coins into a fountain.
First, they've never actually met, except in their dreams. This odd scenario sounds farfetched but the story dynamics makes it so believable. They have precisely seven days to turn those sweet dreams into reality in "In My Dreams." As the time goes by, the two realize how bad they want a real relationship to work.
Katharine McPhee and Mike Vogel play the romantically challenged individuals and their characters definitely are believable. Wishing might sometimes be easier than actually achieving a goal and strange love connection in their sleep gives them a purpose to go out and find real romance
Hallmark movies are usually romantic and enjoyable and “In My Dreams” definitely fits the description. It’s a perfect fit for Katharine McPhee as well and she gets to show her acting skills without even singing a note.
"In My Dreams" airs Sunday at 9 p.m. on ABC.
