Grammy winner Adele hasn’t been heard from much since her big Grammy night, but she is making some noise on Monday. Not only is Adele celebrating her 26th birthday, the “Rumor Has It” singer may have also hinted at a new album. As E! Online reports, the British singer took to Twitter and posted a selfie.

But it wasn’t the selfie that made noise, it was what she that have fans buzzing. In the tweet she writes, “Bye bye 25…See you again later in the year x.” That would suggest that Adele may be working on the release of a new album that would be titled 25 since her previous albums were all titled after the age she was when she recorded them. The first one, 19, saw Adele scrape success and her sophomore album, 21, saw her soar as a music artist. The next album will be highly anticipated and will come with high expectations.

The cryptic message left by Adele may be a teaser, but it wouldn’t be a surprise since Adele has been working on new music. Although her rep has not responded to news of a possible album release, Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic has worked on the album with Adele and said she will release it when she feels the time is right.

Back in March, Tedder told MSN Music UK, “she will deliver the album on her own timetable, at her own pace, and the only person that will ever declare it finished will be her, when she decides it’s finished. I could probably guess when [Jesus] Christ is going to return more accurately than when that album will come out. And that doesn’t mean it’s going to be a while, it just means I have no idea.”

Adele has also been in the studio with Phil Collins. The two have worked on new music together for her third album and Collins admitted back in January that the “Someone Like You” singer sought him out and claims he didn’t know who she was, but was amazed by her talent. Now the musical world waits to hear that new music and if her cryptic tweet is any indication, fans will be hearing that new music sometime this year.
