A wonderful food source for helping to keep one’s brain healthy is salmon. I would have to say that Mother would never have purchased salmon. Why? Too expensive! I never ate salmon, until after I got married.

This fish is a rich source of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), a fatty acid that is one of the most important nutrients for maintaining brain health. Studies show a marked correlation between the development of Alzheimer’s and low consumption of DHA. Wild salmon, as opposed to farm-raised, is the best option.
