In memory of Mother: Nutritional facts on the traditional Christmas dinner pt. 2

As mentioned in part two, my father suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder. Sometimes, we wondered where our next meal might come from. I remember one Christmas, my younger brother and I went down to the railroad tracks where we had seen a lovely shaped tree growing. We thought it would make the perfect Christmas tree. So, we cut it down and brought it back home. My brother and I placed it inside a bucket full of sand. We watered it and decorated it. It didn’t last that long, because it wasn’t a tree. It was a very, large weed!

Well, my brother and I certainly made the wrong choice. Now, when it comes to dietary needs, one needs to make the right choice. Here’s the rest of the list from part two.

When it comes to eating a nutritional Christmas dinner, make the right choices. You’re not going to enjoy the meal, if it is something you really don’t want to eat, just because of the calories. It’s better to go with a smaller portion of something you wish to eat and then put the rest away to enjoy the next day.
