‘In Living Color’ cast reunites on TV Land Awards 2012, wins award (Photos)

At the 10th Annual TV Land Awards 2012, the cast of “In Living Color” reunited on stage to accept the TV Land Groundbreaking Award. Presented by Whoopi Goldberg, the award honored “In Living Color” for blazing a trail in 1990 with its diverse cast and edgy humor.

Most of the core cast reunited for the reunion, with the exception of Jamie Foxx (who’s shooting “Django Unchained”) and Damon Wayans, who has some sort of strange, on-going issue or frustration that caused him to be a no-show.

Once presented with the awards, the show’s creator, Keenen Ivory Wayans, took the mic first.

This is truly an honor … [it’s] an even greater honor to be back with these talented people,” Keenen told the crowd.

It wasn’t long before Jim Carrey snatched the mic and made his feelings known, too.

“This is a tsunami, a wave, a crest of talent. I feel so incredibly luck. It was bigger than us. We had every experience under the rainbow. We laughed, we cried, we broke down walls, and ultimately, we elected a president.”

Here are a few other memorable quotes from the on-stage “In Living Color” reunion:

“We drove [Keenen] crazy. Every time we came back from doing a show, he would say, ‘they’re gonna take us this off the air!” –Tommy Lee Davidson.

“I knew we were doing something special back then … I wanna say thank you for upholding the Hollywood tradition of nepotism.” –Kim Wayans.

“This show was redonkculously good.” –Former Fly Girl and current “Dancing with the Stars” judge Carrie Ann Inaba.

“I loved coming to work everyday. I don’t think I ever missed a day of work because I loved coming to work everyday.” –David Alan Grier.

“We thank you all for watching, and we thank everyone who gave us this award.” –Keenen Ivory Wayans.
