Filipino boxing sensation Nonito Donaire, Jr. brutalized and hammered his way to a knock out victory over the outclassed Wladimir Sidorenko knocking him down thrice during the fight with the last one coming from a right straight that forced the Ukranian to take a knee and was counted out by the referee 1:48 into the 4th in the co- main event feature of Top Rank's In Harm's Way fight card at the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA.
Donaire who was never threatened in the fight put on a virtuoso performance against Sidorenko, a former WBA bantamweight champion and 2000 Olympics bronze medalist who never got his game going against the wily and powerful Filipino's two- fisted attack. Sidorenko also went down in the first and third rounds of the scheduled 12 round fight.
The victory put Donaire on a mouth- watering collision course with the current WBC/ WBO bantamweight champion Fernando Montiel on February 19, 2011 provided the Mexican get past by Eduardo Garcia in their fight scheduled on December 11 in Mexico.
"Donaire was simply sensational"- Dante M, Southgate
"Yes, bring on Fernando Montiel!"- Topet C, Wyandotte
