Atlantic County Freeholder Candidate Frank Formica greeted gubernatorial candidate Chris Christie at his bakery in the Ducktown section of Atlantic City today.
Formica, a second generation businessman was handing out his two famous specialties, cannoli and tomato pies, to friends and supporters of his campaign.
An estimated crowd of 150 people stood in line to chat with Formica and Christie, who is on a southern New Jersey bus tour to maintain his decisive lead over Governor Jon Corzine in the race for the top office in New Jersey.
Christie's tour also included the famous White House Sub Shop, also in Ducktown. A throng of supporters combined with a long line of hungry restaurant goers turned the neighborhood into a street fair.

Christie had a reserved table waiting for him at the White House Sub Shop, but he did not want to create a disturbance during one of the busiest holiday weekends of the year in the city, according to Formica.
"Ralph Pileggi, the owner walked him to his bus and they served him subs on the bus," said Formica.
Formica's run for office has generated a buzz in the Ducktown section and around the county. He is known for his strong work ethic at the bakery and he has been involved in commercial and residential Real Estate for three decades.
Formica founded the Ducktown Revitalization Association in 1991 with over 100 neighborhood businesses and continues as President today. Since creation, the DRA has applied nearly 2 million dollars of grant money toward the improvement and development of the neighborhood.
He is a member of the Greater Atlantic County Economic Development Commission, serving on this commission since 2007. He is also a board member of Dante Hall Theater of the Arts, and has been a member of the Screen Actors Guild since 1985. (more below)

Christie has my vote.
Corzine is doing his best to dig out the dirt. Well, that has amounted to a hill of beans at best.
Corzine had one of the biggest "accidents" recorded in recent history when he went for a photo op with Rutgers Women's Basketball team vs Imus. State trooper, used by Corzine, speeding 90 MPH, Corzine no seat belt...huge accident. Lots of damage.
But Corzine made it all better by running an ad telling other people to wear seat belts. Duh, that was the law and every other person was wearing their seat belts...just not the Gov. He's above the law.
Corzine can pay millions to a sleep in friend who is the head of a union that he is negotiating with, while keeping that union working without a contract for a year, and also keeping all of those emails between himself and the union leader, Carla Katz, secret.
He gave all of the NJ Primary votes that went to Hillary to Obama at the DNC.
Corzine has no credibility. He is for himself, not the peop
