In America, the dead still cry: 'I am alive!'

In America, today, there are many ways to experience the perception of one's own death; not merely a physical death, which might be more pleasant, but a greater-existential death of worth! In the so-called post-Christian America in which we currently live (or die?), the marriage of atheistic-secularist-materialism has been wed with pseudo-Catholic-Christianity and has given birth to the 'culture of death' and the 'social justice' of popular democratic whim.

Yet its victims cry: 'I am alive!'

The first victimization begins prior to a birth! The first victim is the unsuspecting black, asian, hispanic, or other minority, woman. She, under a progressive hypnotic state, believes that women's rights are asserted against her own body, and her own motherhood! She, pressured by progressive lies, and pressures of pragmatic convenience, destroys her own body and kills her own innocent child. Physical scars and deep emotional, spiritual scars remain!

Her dignity is killed in the perverted radical-progressive feminists call to liberty! But from the dead she cries, 'I am alive!'

The second victimization occurs among the powerless! Millions of unborn human persons, immature and unable to voice their own God given right to Life, along with thousands of forgotten, and glossed over, handicapped and aged human persons, have been killed (physically) through the progressive liberty of abortion and euthanasia! But, I argue, they were already dead before the execution! For pregnancy is no longer seen as a gift of marriage and family, but a mere obstacle for self assertion and pleasure! Likewise, handicaps and age are not what a worshipping society (for diva's and stars) likes to see.

Human life, and human dignity, is killed in the perverted, progressive ideology of self-assertion and pleasure. Prior to the acts of abortion and euthanasia, millions are already dead in the lack of respect for the voiceless: those unborn, handicapped, and aged!

But from the dead they cry, 'I am alive!'

The third victimization is a death much more profound! Millions of Americans, in insidious and common ways, have been attacked subliminally, and in a consistent and overt manner, regarding the existence of God and the futility of religion. Traditional Catholicism, American Protestantism (of various names--which literally believes in Jesus Christ), and all people of faith in a very real God, have had their voice and their public presence consistently attacked, with the goal of total obliteration in sight. The death of American godliness, with the replacement of a purely secular utopia is the goal of atheist-secularist-materialists and their puny, wimpy minions, progressive Catholics and Protestants.

But from the seemingly dead Church comes a powerful cry, 'I am alive!'

17 "Now when Jesus came, he found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb four days. 18 Bethany was near Jerusalem, about two miles[a] off, 19 and many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary to console them concerning their brother. 20 So when Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went and met him, but Mary remained seated in the house. 21 Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. 22 But even now I know that whatever you ask from God, God will give you.” 23 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” 24 Martha said to him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day.” 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life.[b] Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, 26 and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” 27 She said to him, “Yes, Lord; I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who is coming into the world.” John 11:17-27

Though dead to the world, we are alive in Christ!

And, as both persecuted and persecutor, we must remember we will be judged by how we treat the least of our brothers and sisters, even those deemed dead by popular culture!

For all of them are alive in Christ Jesus.
