Harry Potter Ice Cream Social, Exhibit at Glen Ellyn Public Library

Harry Potter is coming to the Glen Ellyn Public Library (G.E.P.L.). The G.E.P.L. will kick-off its Read to Rescue summer reading club with a Harry Potter Ice Cream Social on Monday, June 9, 2014 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Summer Reading 2014 clubs are running from Thursday, May 23, 2014 to Monday, August 11, 2014.

The G.E.P.L. stated, “Celebrate the beginning of our summer reading program with a refreshing ice cream sundae, an ice pop, or some fresh fruit. Harry Potter will present a magic show at 7:15. Come dressed as a character from Harry Potter for a chance to win a special prize. Be ready to play a special match of Quidditch, find clues in a platform 9 3/4 scavenger hunt, and take home your very own wand from Diagon Alley.”

This event will be in the parking lot. In case of rain, the event will take place indoors in the G.E.P.L.'s meeting rooms.

During the Harry Potter Ice Cream Social, the Friends of the Library Used Book Sale will also be next Monday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This event will be held in the basement.
