It alway's seems impossible until it's done- Nelson Mandela
On Mandela by Yolanda Gibson
Mandela, Mandela, Mandela,
You fought for Africa to be free
No man alive can relive your history
Even In prison you left a legacy
You wanted a true democracy
This was the only way you could fight the bureaucracy.
You were a Man that took a stand,
Your role in the movement was so grand.
Non-violence was a strategic plan
After 27 years you walked in the sand.
What they did to Black People was wrong.
Because Blacks and Whites could not get along.
The courage you had was so strong.
Angels in Heaven will sing your song.
Your DNA had a heroic strand.
Mandela became a massive brand.
So that the people could live on the land
The lives of many you expand
Peace on earth was what you believed,
Freedom is what Black people received
Homage to you, for the dream you conceived
Oh, the world was so naïve,
Of what One man could ever achieve.
In your memory we will bereave,
Because of the goals you perceived.
Aren’t we so ever relieved?
That someone like you was on our team.
