Watkins Glen International (WGI) announced via press release on Saturday, August 9 that the IMSA TUDOR United SportsCar Championship will return to the Glen in 2015.

According to WGI, the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen and Continental Tire 150 weekend will take place June 25-28, 2015.

Michael Printup, President of Watkins Glen International commented about the announcement, "It is our pleasure to be one of the tracks selected to host this premier sportscar racing weekend with TUDOR United SportsCar Championship and Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge."

He added, "We are thrilled to have Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen weekend take place on what has become our traditional June date. It is something we all look forward to every year."

The exclusive IMSA TUDOR United SportsCar Championship and Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge weekend is an annual highlight of The Glen’s schedule featuring the elite competitors of sportscar racing. The Glen will once again be a part of the unique Tequila Patrón North American Endurance Cup in 2015. The complete event weekend schedule will be announced at a later date.

In 2014, Richard Westbrook took the win over polesitter Alex Brundle in the final minutes of Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen with co-driver Michael Valiante.

According to the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA), the 2015 schedule just released returns Lime Rock to its stops and the schedule contains 12 total events with 10 races per class. Other tracks on the schedule besides WGI and Lime Rock include Daytona, Sebring, Long Beach, Laguna Seca, Belle Isle, Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, Road America, VIR, Circuit of the Americas, and Road Atlanta.
