The Gottman Institute has put some of its recommendation on iTunes to dowload on your iPhone. The first one to come out was Love Maps , which offers up different questions you are supposed to answer about your partner. The point of the questions is to find out which issues are important to each of you. They can help you find out how well you know what makes your significant other tick
.
The app, “Expressing Needs,” is another conversation starter about what each one needs from the other in terms of "I" rather than a criticism of the other. It is described as follows:
One of the myths about love relationships is that we should instinctively know what our partner needs. But nobody is a mind reader, no matter how much they love us. Once you know what your own needs are, stating them in a positive way with the help of this app gives your partner a chance to shine for you!
The "I Feel" app helps those who find it difficult to talk about their feelings with "234 emotional states to help you identify feelings and build connection with your partner." Because we all like to feel appreciated but sometimes fail to express ourselves, there's the "Give Appreciation" app.
To get out of the rut of the daily grind that can whittle away at the joy of a relationship, there's the "Fun and Play" app with suggestions of fun things to do together.
