This week on Impractical Jokers, the guys are ruining other people's shopping, screwing up business presentations for the umpteenth time, and falling off treadmills. It all adds up to one hilarious season finale (although that seems strange to say since the new season starts just three weeks from tonight!) Onward:
Challenge #1: Mission Unshoppable
In the usual "do and say what you're told" skit, Sal damages a few cookie jars, while Murr is tasked with sneezing into somebody else's hand (we cringed just writing that) and pretending to shoplift. To add insult to insult, the guys make him look for his mother, never mind that he's 37. A very helpful elderly woman comes to his rescue. Q gets stuck trying on women's clothes but balks at using a horrible pick-up line. It's Joe who is the most entertaining, though, darting out into traffic and leaving a trail of chocolate covered pretzels "so my fat son can find me later." Now all we can hear is "MICHAEL, I'M IN HOUSEWARES."
Challenge #2: Power Lunch
Who can get the most votes after a business seminar from hell? Q and Joe team up against Murr and Sal to find out. Aside from Q's questionable wardrobe choice, the first pair goes off the rails when the usual innuendoes pop up in their presentation. Yet they score big with three votes. Sal has a faux freakout that startles everyone at his table, and then Murr hangs him out to dry by forcing him to try and explain a huge equation (that Bachelor's Degree in Finance coming in handy for Sal). Somehow, Sal and Murr sweep the table.
Losers: Q and Joe
Challenge #3: Running Men
It's a Joker vs. Joker challenge for Q and Murr, who have to play sales associates at a running store. Of course, the other guys do their usual job of making Murr look like a pervert. He takes a loss when he rejects a line. Q has a difficult time because he has to try to run on a treadmill, which does not go well for him. You could also argue that America takes a loss because we have to look at Murr in shorts.
Big Loser: Q
The Punishment: He's sent out on a video scavenger hunt for things you do not want on video, which means harassing strangers in the park. Then being shoved into a portable toilet by Joe and sent into the middle of the fountain by Sal. "His once a year cleaning is done," Joe quips while Q squirms.
Season 3 of Impractical Jokers is just around the corner on January 2, 2014. In the meanwhile, check out our interviews with Jokers Joe Gatto and James “Murr” Murray, as well as our review of the Season 1 DVD set.
