‘Impractical Jokers’ discover a ‘Field of Screams’ on Tru-TV

On last night’s episode of “Impractical Jokers,” a tribute to little boys who never grow up, Tru-TV plays the disclaimer across the screen loud and clear; warning that the following program contains scenes of graphic stupidity among four lifelong friends who compete to embarrass each other. Experience the belly laughs and outrageous stunts from the four guys who fans have come to know and love, but would likely not want to be victims of their stunts. Joe Gatto, Sal Vulcano, Brian “Q” Quinn and James “Murr” Murray were all born without filters and would do just about anything to win a challenge on this episode titled “Field of Screams.”

As the episode begins, the guys are in the park and using a voice modulator to give tasks to their fellow jokers. If they do not guess correctly, as to who gave them the task, they lose, but if they guess correctly, the person who gave the task must come out and perform the task. Q was up first, and had to burp someone; he guessed incorrectly and had to do it. He managed to hug a guy who did burp. The next task was to put someone’s fingers in his mouth; he guessed Murr, and was correct, so now Murr had to do the task. Murr did it easily. Murr was told to play the air guitar and air drums in someone’s personal space. He guessed Sal and was right. Now Sal had to do it and a woman appreciated his performance. Sal’s next challenge was to kiss someone on the lips; he guessed wrong and had to do it, but the beautiful young woman would not allow it, so he lost.

The next challenge was to quit one’s job in front of people. Murr versus Sal in a Joker versus Joker challenge called Quit Fantastically. Sal was up first as they were at Lot-Less department store. As he was behind the cash register waiting on a woman, he stood up and asked everyone for their attention. He gave his reasons for quitting and finally as he asked for support, the crowd started clapping for him, as others just stood dumbfounded.

For Murr, he was at the Turtle Back Zoo’s Penguin Coast Exhibit. As he was feeding the penguins in front of a crowd of young and old, he announced he could not take any more penguin drama. He stated to each of the penguins, how much he has taken from them for four years. He went in the entirely wrong direction by berating these adorable animals and then when the crowd was not with him; he berated them! You lose, Murr!

The third challenge was Murr & Joe versus Q & Sal at the zoo giving lectures about dinosaurs. Q & Sal were up first, and on the evolutionary chart, Q was spotted just below human. The next chart was titled “Wang Length by Dinosaur,” as Sal nearly lost it, they marched on. Then they had to talk about the mating habits of the different dinosaurs, and stated that T-Rex could not get to second base because of his short arms. They had to ask how many people would take a follow-up class with them, and two people raised their hands.

Next up, Murr & Joe, who also had a dinosaur presentation. They sounded pretty intelligent at the beginning stating that new species of dinosaurs are still being discovered today. Then the next slide was “Cute Dinosaur Jokes that I Wrote,” as Joe had to read the jokes to the groans of the group. One woman was spotted sound asleep. They then spoke of the dinosaur mating dance and had to demonstrate the dance. They got three people who would take their follow-up class and won this one.

Sal was the big loser of this episode, and for his punishment had to walk from one end of a haunted corn maze to the other. Following a guide rope, he had to go through. He is thoroughly afraid of being startled and promised if anyone jumped out at him, they were going down. As he walked through, he shouted a warning that he would punch anyone who jumped out at him. He saw a little girl standing in the maze, then a horn blew, and he hit the deck. When he saw a scarecrow, he was again afraid to pass by it. When the scarecrow jumped down, he nearly had a heart attack. Next, he had to pass through a very huge pile of poop that gave him the heaves. As he encountered a sign that read, “good luck getting out,” he knew he was at the end of the maze, but suddenly someone in a black cat suit started chasing him as he ran, screaming like Murr when he jumped from the plane on this hilarious episode of “Impractical Jokers.”
