Here is another great recipe from Imperial! They call them lemon triangles, but they can also be called lemon bars. Lemon bars are a great treat to make for any Holiday or gathering.
Several stores to purchase these baking ingredients in Raleigh, NC, are:
Lemon Triangles
- 2/3 cup Imperial spread, softened
- 2 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 1/3 cup flour
- 4 eggs
- 1/3 cup lemon juice
- 2 tbsp grated lemon peel
- Powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 350*.
Line 9x13 baking dish with no-stick foil.
With mixer, mix: Imperial spread and 1/2 cup sugar until fluffy.
Beat in 2 cups of flour until crumbs form.
Press into prepared pan and bake for 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, with mixer, beat eggs, remaining 2 cups sugar, remaining 1/3 cup flour, lemon juice and lemon peel until fluffy. About 4 minutes.
Pour over hot, baked crust.
Bake an additional 25 minutes or until lemon mixture is just set.
Cool and lift out of pan by foil. Cut into triangles and serve.
