Esther Schmucker star of the TV reality series “Amish Mafia” wasn't given much justice against the man who broke her nose, cheek and several teeth. Imir Williams basically received a slap on the wrist for almost killing the "Amish Mafia" star. According to the Intelligencer Journal/Lancaster New Era, Imir spent only seven weeks in jail before being released on December 23, 2013.
Imir viciously beat Esther in her Strasburg home on October 31, 2013. Esther's was not able to call the police because Imar stood guard over Esther as she lay in bed. Only when Imir left four days later, she was able to call the police to report him. Imir eluded police until he was apprehended on November 6, 2013 and he was jailed.
Imir appeared in court in front of Judge Dennis Reinaker. Because Imir was charged with simple assault and stalking, Judge Reinaker told him that he spent more time in prison than the charges warranted. Imir was released on December 24, 2013 with an unsecured $50,000 bail bond. He was scheduled to plead guilty on that day, but his lawyer didn't like the plea. When Imir discovered this, he told the judge, "I just want to go home. I've been in two months already. I just want to get this over with. I shouldn't have put my hands on her. I was wrong. No matter how many times she hit me or what she hit me with."
Judge Reinaker placed Imir under house-arrest. Thursday, Imir plead guilty to the charges. He was placed on three years probation and ordered to stay away from and have no contact with Esther Schmucker.
"She waited four days to call the police because she said she forgave me," Imir said in court. "Now she's playing this victim role." Imir informed the judge that he would be living with his aunt in Lancaster.
Esther is back on "Amish Mafia." She is using this experience to help other abused women.
