IMDBPro releases new electronic casting service

IMDB's database has been the go-to for behind the scenes movie info for ages, but it's also been the go-to for many casting professionals. This week, they've taken it a step further with the release of a great new feature for actors: a casting service for members of IMDB Pro, their subscription service. Actors with a subscription may now submit for listed breakdowns directly from the site, using their existing IMDB profile page.

IMDB Pro's profile page is a boon for the working actor, with a filmography (an IMDB resume culled from projects you've performed in that are registered in IMDB's database), an additional resume you may upload yourself, a 100 headshot photo gallery, up to 5 demo reels, a biography!, and direct links to your representation and direct contact info. They even offer a vanity link ( to make it easier to find your page (and which pushes your name up in the search engines).

This new e-casting service will be replacing their previous IMDB job boards, which will close April 15, 2014.
