With the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi only 39 days away, the Canadian women's hockey team is preparing for their final game of their six game exhibition series with the United States on Monday night.
The Canadian women's hockey team is looking to win their fourth consecutive Olympic gold medal in women's hockey. They have also been the only country to have participated in the gold medal final for every Olympic Winter Games since women's hockey became a full medal sport at the 1998 Olympic Winter Games in Nagano.
The Canadian team is slated for three round robin games. They will play against Switzerland on February 8, Finland on February 10 and the United States on February 12. Germany, Russia, Sweden and Japan meanwhile will be part of the other group. The top two teams in Canada's pool will advance directly to the semi-finals, with the bottom two teams in Canada's pool playing the top two teams in the other pool in the quarterfinals.
The quarterfinals are set for February 15, semi-finals on February 17, and finals on February 20. The gold medal game will be 9:00 a.m. on February 20.
