iMafia III iPhone iPod Touch app review

It's baaaaack!!!  Along with a new interface iMafia III strikes back with avengence...

We are all familiar with the numerous PlayMesh apps for the iPhone and iPod Touch including iMafia, Race Wars, and other iPhone RPG’s that are addicting to some and appalling to others. Recently the third installment of iMafia was released and is one of the most popular apps on iTunes. While there was not a big difference between iMafia’s I and II, there is a huge difference between iMafia’s II and III.

iMafia III has a brand new interface that is a digital three dimensional city map. You tap the buildings to go into the various menus and can still do all the fun things made famous in the first two installments. All of the graphics are given a big boost while catchy theme music is added to the game. It can be easily turned on and off in the options menu along with the vertical/horizontal aspect lock. Also new to iMafia III is the daily unlock mode. In this mode you must find packages about the virtual town and return them for items. It adds a new dimension to the mode.

iMafia III is a solid app. The gameplay is just as fun as previous versions and I love all the new things they added to the game. I think this is a great app that is the best time killer on the iPhone or iPod Touch to date. All in all iMafia III is good news for iMafia fans and terrible news for recovering PlayMeshaholics like myself.

    I disagree

Playmesh simply re-releases the same app with a new theme again, and again, and again. Maybe there are some incremental upgrades here, but look for them coming in Ninjas, Race wars, and whatever stupid knockoffs they have coming. All in the hopes that new players come in, get a little excited, and maybe buy some PlayMesh points.

    Anything from PlayMesh is garbage.

I agree all the different versions are desighned to get you to try other ones to fond one that you like. Once you find one you like they think you will spend money one stuff for the game. It's a scam.
