Photography, paintings, ceramics and sculptures by national and international artists comprise Page Bond Gallery’s December group exhibition.
An opening reception will be held for “Illuminate” from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, December 9.
Ann Lyne’s abstract patterns and observational pieces are included in this month’s exhibit.
Ceramics by Piero Fenci “signal a return to handicraft and a subjective model of authorship,” according to a press release from the gallery.
Fenci is influenced by Etruscan pottery and American Shaker craft, and, although handmade, his pieces are functional.
Mira Hecht’s paintings make up a series entitled “Close to Home,” in which the artist explores the formal, emotional and spiritual aspects of the circle.
“Illuminate” also includes the work of Liz Akamatsu, Andy Bality, Will Berry, Robin Braun, Dragana Cmjak, Erik Gonzalez, Amber George, Sarah Irvin, Julian Jackson, Sally Man, Kathleen Markowitz, B. Millner, Hullie Moore and more.
The exhibition will be on view through Saturday, January 14, 2012.
Page Bond Gallery is located at 1625 West Main Street, and can be reached at 804/ 359-3633. Gallery hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
