Illinois Man's unique facial tattoo leads to arrest

When law enforcement are looking for criminals, distinct features are important to taking the guilty party down. Height, weight race, facial hair, gender age, and various other factors are important to get an idea of what a suspect looks like. Distinguishing tattoos can also be helpful. A suspect may have visibly on their arms, neck, hands, face, etc. that can lead to arrest. Some are hard to spot. In the case of Adam Roberts, not so much.

Roberts is charged with stealing and selling items from at least 28 storage units in Godfrey, Illinois. He was found Friday in possession of at least $1,000 in stolen merchandise. One thing that aided authorities in arresting Roberts is his distinct facial tattoo; a skull that overlays his face. He is believed to have sold many stolen items in the St Louis area, and is being held on $60,000 bond.

Authorities are asking anyone who may have unknowingly bought stolen items from Roberts or that have items missing to contact the Madison County Sheriff's Department.
