According to the Pantagraph, Bill Brady was a "key player in getting the first subsidies for Amtrak approved back in the 1990s."

According to Champion News, Brady also refuses to stand up to unions and votes to give them everything they want--even as they continue senselessly bankrupting our schools. 

According to Brady's website, he "will also fight for federal money to enhance high-speed freight and passenger rail." The conservative Illinois Policy Institute has identified this state's high speed rail project as a disastrous sequel to Amtrak.
