Illinois (15-6, 2-5 Big Ten) has struggled as of late and lost to another top Big Ten opponent. In their losses the Illini have really struggled to shoot the ball well from behind the three, which have been a big part of their success early in the season. Last night they shot 23 percent from the three. Michigan (19-1, 6-1 Big Ten) has been rolling as of late in the Big Ten and has played solid defense.
Last night the Wolverines shot around 53 percent from the field.
When Illinois struggles to shoot the ball they usually struggle to win. Their schedule does not get any easier with Michigan State coming up next on the schedule. They need to shoot the ball well in order to regain some momentum in the Big Ten conference.
