Illegals covered under Obamacare?

Newly released information regarding the immigration reform bill Obama and his Democrat allies in Congress are developing could make illegals eligible for Obamacare benefits. Obama promised his health reform bill would not cover illegals, a claim that prompted Joe Wilson, R-SC, to scream "you lie" during a State of the Union Address. At the time, the media accused Wilson of being rude and perhaps just hating Obama.

Now it looks like Wilson may have just understood Obama's endgame. I submit that Obama's intent is to create new class of voters dependent upon a government program and grateful to the Democrat party for providing it. Put another way, this is "plantation government". Once people come to rely on a government program for their daily bread, they are scared and reluctant to give it up, even if doing so would ultimately be to their benefit.

Over the last few decades Republicans were reversing Democrat electoral gains by getting more and more people off the government rolls. From Reagan to Bush things like welfare reform helped people take greater responsibility for themselves. Even Bill Clinton declared the end to the "era of big government" and governed as a centrist. For a host of reasons having to do with the war, his own profligate spending, the media and the natural recessionary cycle, the Bush Era saw Democrats acheived renewed ascendency.

Never one to let a good crises go waste, Obama and his allies are trying to take advantage of this widow by doing what Roosevelt did. Divide the country into dependency identity groups fighting over shares of a shrinking pie. Roosevelt effectively used the depression to create enduring classes of Democrat voters. Obama is doing the same thing and it starts where Obamacare intersects with immigration reform.
