"Whatever it takes...no amnesty...keep it simple," vows Palin, annointed President Palin on The Factor. In spite of Bill O'Reilly's posited amnesty bias, in spite of overbearing interruptions, in spite of a battery of staccato questions with no chance to provide a full answer, O'Reilly failed to rattle Palin's resolve that protecting America's borders is a top priority, a national security issue.
Sarah Palin delivered solutions the majority of Americans support : Secure the borders, enforce the federal immigration laws, no amnesty, American citizens get first shot at American jobs, and no repeating past mistakes - whatever it takes.
What follows is the video of this riveting interview in O'Reilly's No Spin Zone, a transcription of the clip which focused on illegal immigration, prepared by Political Buzz Examiner, Devonia Smith.
Transcript:
O'Reilly: So you're President of the United States - Sarah Palin. You send how many National Guards to the border right away to secure it?
Palin: However many you need - this is the top priority. This is a national security issue..
O'Reilly: (interrupts) Alright, but I'm talking Texas, California, New Mexico, all of 'em. So, you send maybe ten , fifteen thousand national guards down there to assist the border control. Yes?Palin: Whatever it takes, whatever it takes.
O'Reilly: Alright, so you militarize the border, ah, you, you finish the fence. Finish building the fence from Brownsville to San Diego. Yes?
Palin: Yep.O'Reilly: Now we have twelve million people staring at you. And you say to those people, you're in here illegally, you broke civil law - by coming in here. Um, now are you going to deport them? What are you going to do?
Palin: Well, again, we, first let me go back to the importance of securing the border. If we start talking about amnesty before...
O Reilly (interrupts) No, no, well, we got that, we got that, Governor. Everybody...All Factor people watching this
Palin: (interrupts) No, we don't.
O Reilly (interrupts) Yeah, the people watching this program have it. We have it. We assume that you - as president - would secure the border. I've confidence you would do that. But now you have to look into it. Alright and you've got 12 million people staring at you. What are you going to have them do?
Palin: You're not going to give them a free pass. You're not going to say - ok - you and, ah, anybody else who wants to scree across this porous border between now and when we do finally get it fenced in and physically secure - we're going to give you a free pass. And just because you've broken laws in the past know we can trust you...
O Reilly: (interrupts) Alright , no amnesty.
Palin: No - no amnesty - which meansO Reilly: (interrupts) But what do you do with these folks? Do you make them register with the federal government? Do you tell them they have sixty days to get outta here before we put you in jail? What do we do with them?
Palin: Do we make them register with the Federal government? Yes, we do. We have to
O Reilly. (interrupts) Yes, so we know who they, where they are...
Palin: Yes, exactly. So in answer to that question, absolutely. We 're not giving them a free pass. We're not going to reward the bad behavior.O Reilly: (interrupts) Alright, So you don't reward the bad behavior. You make them register with the federal government. Say you give them sixty days to register with the fed gov., there's a form at the Post Office they have to send like a census form, alright. Say they don't do it? Alright.
Palin: You deport them.
O Reilly: (interrupts) Ok so After a period of time, the ones that don't cooperate then you catch them, they're gone. Now you have these people that register. You are going to have millions of them. Then they register and they say - ok we obeyed what President Palin told us to do -then what? - do you give them green cards to work right away, what do you do with them?
Palin: You know there has to be that expectation that they will work and that they will contribute. Bill, It makes me uncomfortable that we're even going down that path so far when ...
O Reilly: (interrupts)You have to though.
Palin: No, no
O Reilly: (interrupts) You have to go down that path, it's gonna come up.
Palin: No. American citizens who are - who are here lawfully - they need to be the ones with the first shot at getting these jobs. We cannot make it easy on those who have chosen to be illegal - illegally here, to disobey our laws. No!
O Reilly: No, we can't make it easy, but they're here and we can't starve them to death. And If they can't work, if they don't have a green card to work, ah, they're gonna be hosed. I mean they gotta pay rent, they gotta buy groceries, this, that and the other thing. I mean this is where it gets very complicated, Governor. You know it gets very, very complicated - because you are rewarding bad behavior. You let them stay in the United States because they came in illegally.
Palin: Then let's keep it, then, then we won't complicate it any more. Let's keep it simple. And let's say no that if you are here illegally, if you don't follow the steps that at some point in immigration reform that we are going to be able to provide that will allow you somehow to be able to work - if you are not going to do that, then you will be deported. You will be gone.
O Reilly: (interrupts) Ok, we've established that. We've established that though.
Palin: Let's look at case history, let's look at case history. Let's look at what political hero, Ronald Reagan tried to do with three million illegals all those years ago.
O Reilly: (interrupts) He botched it though governor. Reagan botched it. He botched it.
Palin: Exactly, that's what I'm saying. So that's what I'm saying, so we learn from history. We won't do what, what he did in that respect in that round.
O Reilly: No but you're gonna have to - whoever the next president is, is going to have to deal with 12 million people and that is going to be very, very difficult.
Dallas has been battered with the problems of unenforced immigration laws because Texas is a border state. The majority of citizens, of border states such as Dallas, are seeking solutions that secure the borders, respect immigration laws, offer no amnesty and give Americans first shot at sorely needed jobs.
As Sarah Palin vowed in spite of O'Reilly's attempts to batter her, "Whatever it takes...no amnesty...keep it simple." Stop illegal immigration, enforce America's immigration laws.
It's a tie! Sarah Palin vs Obama 46-46 2012 presidential race (and that was giving Obama a 5% handicap advantage)

I will not longer watch O'Reilly. He was rude and disrespectful to Palin. He interrupted her several times. There is no way possible for Palin to know how to solve the oil spill problem (BP is doing the work; Obama just shoots his mouth off and takes photo-ops). And how would she know the details about the border immigration problems so that she could state a definite method of resolution? She not in the WH meetings. It's Obama's responsibility and all he can do is sue the Gov. AZ. Why didn't O'Reilly mention that. Palin did just fine with the interview and she shouldn't go back to him (stay with Hannity).
If Palin would stop her babbling idiocy, then she wouldn't be constantly shot sown by her interviewers. The reason she ever gets interviewed is because she's always frothing on about things she has no clue about!
Something's got to be done about all this unemployment. It seems to me that if Illegals are taken off all the 'assistance and free stuff' and not allowed to work here, they'll go back home to their families where they've been sending money.
When OReilly was talking about the illegals not being able to pay their rent, etc if we dont let them take our jobs, I wanted to scream at him "Then theyll have to go back to their homes in Mexico".
Many of them dont want to assimilate into American Culture anyway, they want to hold on to their native tongue and turn their areas into Mexico.
My German ancestors learned English because they wanted to be Americans.
Almost 1/3rd of all office jobs now, are requiring you to be Bilingual that feels like discrimination to me that I cant perform an American job if I cant speak Spanish!
Palin is good comedy material along with the Tea Party players. We have big problems with illegals coming across the border, but the loophole about becoming a US citizen if you're born here creates many more problems. Something needs to be done. I'm not sure about no amnesty. How will we find 12 million illegals and kick them out?
You say Sarah offered solutions, I disagree. She offered the usual talking points. O'Reilly kept interrupting (as opposed to battering) because he was trying to help Sarah expand on the issues. He gave her every chance to do so, but as she is wont to do, didn't.
Everyone says "secure the borders," but they never say how. "No amnesty" is a common refrain, but the word "amnesty" itself is misleading. While no one has suggested "amnesty" they have suggested pathways to citizenship. Spending hundreds of billions of dollars to round up and deport millions of undocumented workers is unfeasible and wasteful.
Our federal immigration policy is broken. We need real workable, doable pragmatic solutions. O'Reilly gave Sarah several openings to tell us her policy initiatives, but had none. Repeating what has already been repeated ad naseum does not qualify as "solutions."
This makes it clear Palin doesn't have a clue as to what to do about illegal immigrants. Her answers are even worse than I would have expected. What a joke. It's almost hard to believe if I hadn't had the transcript.
Did Palin prepare at all for this interview on illegal immigration? She won't answer the questions (only vague answers) and keeps coming back to the same point that the borders should be secure. O'Reilly has to interrupt her b.s. to put her back on track. Then she says she doesn't want to go down that path.
Are you saying she should be treated with kid gloves because she's a woman? No interviewer should put up with that, he has to keep guilding her back from parroting her talking points. She's quite dim really.
O'Reilly rattled her cage and he's a fellow conservative. A liberal interviewer would have made mincemeat out of this uninformed woman who has absoutely no idea what's she talking about. Simple minded and proud of it.
I did not see the interview live, but read the transcript Dev provided in her piece above. Palin said; (inbetween being interrupted by O'Reily) 1) finish the border fence 2) put National Guard troops there 3) have all illegals register with the Federal Government 4) If they refuse to register, they get deported. 5) those that do register and follow the law, must have the expectation they will work and contribute, but American citizens should have first shot at the jobs. 6) Finally examine what we have tried in the past as not to make the same mistakes. Then that's about as far as either of them got. Sounds like a plan to me, and certainly did not sound clueless. What part of her solutions do some of you not understand? (It seems your Palin envy is showing.)
Truga, yes it does seem O'Reily was rude to her, and did interrut her often.
[[As Sarah Palin vowed in spite of O'Reilly's attempts to batter her, "Whatever it takes...no amnesty...keep it simple."]]
Did you read the same transcript I did? O'Reilly didn't attempt to batter her, he DID batter her, deep-fried her, and served her up on a plate. O'Reilly, jackass that he is, made the assumption she would secure the border. She was unprepared to go past that. As soon as he did, she mentioned that she can't speak abut what's next until the border is secured. She's not an intelligent woman. Thank God she'll never be president.
My, my the Sarah haters are out in force.... just what is it that bothers you so much?
Did you read the same transcript I did?? Y'all seem to have missed numbers 1-6! Lol!
Personally I believe step one should be to secure the borders, (national security), also, nothing else makes sense until that is DONE.
I second your post Deni. Honestly I'm wondering if those posting such obnoxious paltry attacks aimed at Palin here (the usual drivel btw) even read the same transcript, because from what I can tell, she laid out her thoughts quite nicely, whilst being interrupted RUDELY I might add.
What's with you people? I thought you all thought we were the unenlightened, unedumacated, un"liberal" and undeserving?
Sounds like "y'all" need a lesson in readin comprehenshun...
hahahahaha Maybe it'd be better if we translated it into Spanish? ;-)
Miranda, O'Reilly is more of an independent conservative. Why must you put us all into one basket?
I suppose you won't mind when I do that to all you bleeding heart, misinformed, selfish libbies then, will you?
Did you know, that it's a fact that conservatives donate more of their hard earned money, and time to charity?
Liberals earn more, but give less. But then you all love that old "forced" charity idea....
Why not just buck up and quit being so selfish, and you could even adopt a whole family of illegal aliens.
Walk the walk and talk the talk honey.... If you want them here, YOU pay for them.
How about that everyone? Anyone who is totally for illegal aliens staying in the USA and mooching off of their tax dollars can feel free to pay through the nose. Those of us that don't feel it's our "duty" can opt out.
Sounds good to me! It's about about choice right?
I love being conservative. LOL
O'Reilly battered in order to showboat his opinions; he always does.
Sarah Palin handled O'Reilly's insufferable rudeness with grace and never lost her cool. I might have.
Keep it simple stupid!
Secure the borders!
Secure the borders!
Secure the borders!
Let the twelve million stare while you SECURE THE BORDERS!
I agree with Sharon; if they can't find a job - they'll go home.
all answers were given to Palin by o'reilly in the questions. this woman is dumb and has no ideas in her head.
O'Reilly is a creep, a jerk, & a coward. When he mouths off at Sarah Palin, he loses viewers. Soon he will go over to MSNBC.
Yes, O'Reilly was rude. It's what he does. If Sarah wants to play in the big leagues, she has to learn to deal with it. I love her answers!! "Whatever it takes" Oh why didn't anyone else think of that?! So simple, really. "Make them register." Great!! Who finds them to tell them where the form is and who helps them fill it out? "Legal Americans get the jobs." Alrighty, let's see all those legal Americans picking in the fields, cleaning houses, nannying rich people's brats, working in the chicken plucking factories. But in the mean time, what happens to the illegal aliens who legally registered for their green cards according to Sarah's plan - welfare? They get deported anyway? (Someone here said "they'll just go home" hahahaha! Like that will happen!) And how to find the ones who don't register, Sarah? Do you know how much it would cost to find them and deport them? Ready to spend all your time & energy on this ONE issue?
who build the fence?
who pay the tab for all of this?
one hand republicans talking abt deficit and spending? and like both wars unfunded mendate?
or like mr mccain flip flop?
and who will pay dollars a gallon of orange juice?
this is just politics
all republicans talking abt family value and they wanna torn apart families?
THERE ARE plenty of jobs available but americans wnts jobs paying 40 dollars an hour jobs?
give me a break
we need cheap stuff
and some republican sanetors talking abt iillegal alliens?like mr vitter what abt him flirting with call girls and he still in washington why he didnt step down for his illegal activity?
It amazes me how differently people interpret this video. The writer views O'Reilly as rude and Palin as cool and calm under pressure.
I viewed it as O'Reilly trying to get Palin to say more than her normal simple talking points AND that Palin was very flustered by O'Reilly's questions.
All I know is I do not want someone as our President that is known to be tempermental, vindictive and generally lacks knowledge and a vast array of policies.
For me... neither our current President or Palin are suited for the job.
What is a secure border? The area in California with the fence built to stats reduced entry of people and drugs by 95%. That's secure! A huge bipartisan vote in Congress mandated that this fence be continued across our southern border. It was never done! Until it is done and the border effectively secured, it's pretty pointles deporting people who just pull a U-turn and come right back in. The Border Patrol is reporting nearly one in five they are presently catching has a serious criminal record. Put greedy, criminal employers in JAIL! Once the border is secured and therre are no jobs for these lawbreakers, they will self-deport! No amnesty ever again!
Sarah Palin is an idiot. The jobs that illegals have, such as cleaning company washrooms, picking fruit, and other forms of manual labor are jobs no one wants to do. Palin makes the attempt to provide extremely simple and rigid policy ideas that are just unrealistic and unworkable. Does Caribou Barbie realize how much $$$ it would cost to militarize the border?? Does she realize How much it would cost to gather up all those people and ship them back to Mexico?? I have been to Mexico before, and the cost of living is HORRIBLE...If I was a Mexican, I would definitely find it rational to make attempts to sneak over here for a better way of life for me and my family. Stop blaming the individuals for what is a bad situation.
Hello all,
My, my, my, poor, poor, poor, Sarah!
The Big Bad Irishman from New York was 'rude' to the Alaskan Head Mama Grizz!
Wah, wah, wah!
Why don't you people grow up!
O'Reilly was NOT 'rude' to Palin, he treated her EXACTLY like he treats EVERYONE else on his program: brusk, forceful, and to the point.
O'Reilly likes to keep his show moving FAST and so he keeps ALL his guests on topic, prods them at Warp 9 speeds and generally speaking, does NOT let them get away with lying.
I supported Palin during the 2008 campaign and she is the ONLY reason I supported McCain's bid for the presidency (McCain is just another weasel RINO helping the Left to tear down America).
So since you women keep saying you want Equal Treatment with me, WELCOME TO EQUALITY!
The tall Irishman treated Palin JUST like he does his male guests....so GROW UP people, pull your hearts off your sleeves, and GET REAL!
Cheers.
Debra,
You said and I quote:
"All I know is I do not want someone as our President that is known to be tempermental,(sic) vindictive and generally lacks knowledge and (sic) a vast array of policies."
Ah, I take it you'll be for impeaching Obama then? He is VERY temperamental and the illustrations of his vindictiveness are plethora, even amongst the Left who support him!
"Lacks knowledge"? You mean like how to interact with foreign nations? Perhaps a better understanding of why a President should go to a State Funeral when the ENTIRE govt. dies in a plane crash?
Or barring that, perhaps stopping by that nation's embassy on his way to playing the billionth game of golf to give his condolences to the Polish Ambassador?
Or perhaps he should understand Russian Internal Politics, so he could formulate an actual workable US foreign policy towards Russia?
How about coming up with a plan to stop the Oil Gusher in the Gulf earlier than 4 WEEKS down the road?
Obama? No br
I think its kind of incredible. I watched the video, and much like when O'Reily was talking to her the last time, O'reily (Who I don't have all that much love for anyhow) was asking relevant questions while Palin got frustrated. I think its pretty obvious that objective journalism is a thing of the past. Its pretty much the journalist putting their own little spin as how they viewed it. Political bias makes it a little more difficult to be impartial, doesn't it, Dev???
The truth is, shes been smoking something other than cigarettes if she thinks the problems can be taken care of that quickly and easily. The cost to militarize our borders...deporting millions of people??
Have you been to Mexico?? Its horrible...If me and my family were in Mexico...I'd do whatever it takes to get a better life...but I guess most people don't want to put themselves into someone else's shoes. You have to actually THINK to do that...something that isn't a strong point for Sarah Palin.
People are funny that for the most part, they can't just chalk something up to a bad situation and that no one is to blame. There usually has to be a specific target for all that anger. Someone that a person can just focus all that frustration and anger to.
Immigration is a VERY hot topic, but I think there is something very important we should keep in mind. WE ARE ALL PEOPLE FROM IMMIGRANT BACKGROUNDS. Unless you are 100% American Indian, your family immigrated here, and probably came here leaving somewhere else for a better life. I have seen alot of people focus all their anger and frustration specifically at these people, and I don't think its right.
We should keep in mind that the majority of illegals are doing the same thing. They have children, they have feelings, and they are just trying to get a better life, perhaps for themselves and for their children. Stop blaming the individuals....blame the system...
There is a LEGAL way to immigrate to the US! The bleeding heart sentiment of turning a blind eye to those who come here illegally to "find a better life" simply serves to keep the flood gates open for enemies of the state to enter as well! Nevermind the states are going broke supporting them all! The immigration laws MUST be enforced ~ illegal is illegal!
"no one is to blame"?? BS!! The federal government is to blame for NOT enforcing 'their' laws for decades! And now the current federal administration wants to EXPLOIT it for POLITICAL GAIN ~ VOTES! SHAME!
Maybe the government has not dealt with this issue yet..and yes...they should..but I have seen people write over and over talking about 'illegals" as if they are something to just blot out of existence...as if they are just something to "make them go away!"..These are HUMAN BEINGS...not a UPS package to be returned to sender. Its something called "humanity"...the way some of my fellow Americans refer to illegal immigrants is I'm sure very similar to the way the Nazis used to refer to the Jews...OR do you find that that situation was a "bleeding heart" situation as well????
I find it really funny that "Dev" here has this take that "O'Reilly failed to rattle Palin's resolve that protecting America's borders is a top priority, a national security issue."...while pretty much every other publication or blog online shows that once again Sarah got served a heaping helping of humble pie. Journalistic bias, maybe?????
Are you equating deporting law breakers back to their country of origin to the Holocaust?? Really?? Seriously??
O'Reilly didn't do anything any differently in terms of interviewing style, he didn't "hand" Palin answers, Bill is always like that. I suppose then, he "handed" Obama answers when he interviewed him? lol
The fact is, Obama (who cannot even pronounce corpsman correctly) Gibbs, and the entire admin, have had their moments of clear stupidity.
Palin isn't any "dumber" than anyone else. You all just can't handle that she's in your faces constantly.
I daresay our prez saying "so I know whose azz to kick" with regards to the BP crisis that he ignored for 60 days, doesn't exactly churn up visions of granduer, at least, not where the people are concerned. lol....
But then, since when do the people matter?
JR, I agree that Bill treated Palin pretty much the same as all his other guests, however, must you be so sexist and rude whilst pointing it out? Sounds like a personal problem to me.
Hammy, I truly pray you're joking.... The Holocaust, and Illegal aliens? LOL.... OMG You're what's wrong with this country man.
If you feel so sorry for folks that break the law, then YOU move to Mexico, and adopt them all. Feed em, give them your hard earned pesos, and quit your whining....
WOW....
You shame every Jew that was ever touched by the Holocaust by making that sick comparison.
That was a cheap LOW RENT remark.
Were talking about people here who want a better life. This IS the reason MOST of our ancestors came to the US. YOU have no more claim to this land than anyone else...and if you want to be technical about it...we massacred most of the Indians for this land...People like yourself actively VILIFY illegal immigrants...kind of like what the Nazis did via propaganda to the German people. Maybe were not shoving them into concentration camps and killing them by volume, but some are treating them like unwanted packages to be returned to sender...you can play blind man and try to justify it all you want...but I know the difference between right and wrong...and treating people like that...its wrong.
I'm glad there is a voice of reason here. People don't like to equate something going on today as something as horrible as the Holocaust. Granted, no one is being killed or exterminated, HOWEVER, referring to people as "THOSE PEOPLE!", wanting to send them back with the same attitude of sending back a defective toaster to the manufacturer...requiring people to show "their papers". This brings to mind a SS guard standing at a gate asking for people to "Show me your papers, please."
I'm not saying no one should go back. You got criminals, or people that are living off the government. I think that is grounds to send them back. if its someone whos working 40 - 50 hours a week busting their butt for a living and contributing to society...then there should be an alternative.
@Hammyshanks - I think your view is a little extreme, but I overall agree with you. I live in Texas and I have neighbors who's family have been in this country for generations. I have seen these people harassed sometimes people question if they are illegals or not. I find it sickening, and feel like you, that this is a wrongness.
@Amy, I'm 56 years old man, and I been around. As Bob Dylan says, I don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows. Mexican people who are here illegally are actively being made to look like hardcore criminals, thugs, punks, goons and killers. The truth is there are alot of these people who are good hard working God fearing people who contribute actively to society.
The way people complain about "these people" being in their cities, doesn't sound all that much different than people complaining about a rodent problem. THESE ARE PEOPLE! Are you SO devoid of your humanity you can see that????
Hammy,
I never said they weren't "good people" I never said they weren't "God fearing" I never said they were "thugs, or hardcore criminals".
But they ARE criminals, as in... they've committed a CRIME.
You don't dispute that coming into a country, ANY country, illegally, is not only a crime, but incredibly stupid, do you?
Would you just mosey on over to a country, just cause you "felt like it"?
Well that's what's been going on for decades now. It's not any one presidents fault, or all one political party in terms of blame.
No one in politics is beyond reproach. My point is, the fact that they're "people" doesn't mean they've got some God given right to enter a country illegally.
You should check out Mexico's illegal alien policy... hardly forgiving, and most certainly a far cry from the leniency the USA shows illegals from Mexico...
The hypocrisy from Calderon was astounding. If they want to become part of our country, then the should do it LEGALLY. Like eve
I happen to be dealing in facts, not overly emotional diatribes about how they're "people".
So are Americans, you don't see them sneaking into other countries and being coddled, do you?
Why have immigration laws, if they're never enforced?
The PC machine is the most destructive and ludicrous "machine" ever to corrupt American politics and this grand country.
Use your noggin for once. There are hundreds if not thousands of people every day INVADING this country. No other country on EARTH would ever tolerate this, but because people are afraid of being labled falsely as "racists" and have no courage of their convictions anymore, they cave and even promote illegal behavior.
If they want so badly to become a part of American society, let them come here legally, and stop flying their flags over the American flag. Till then, they're nothing but criminals who are taking advantage of a country that is now too stupid to stand by its laws.
And, Hammy, it might surprise you that I not only speak Spanish, but have traveled to Venezeula three times, and am much in love with the latino culture. The people, the food, the dancing, the culture in general.
YOU my friend, make ridiculous assumptions, just like every other pundit pound dog, about me, simply because I am standing by the LAW.
I don't want ANYONE coming into MY country illegally, no matter where they're from. And if you had any sense about you, you wouldn't either.
Now...
Ciao pues...
@AMY, No thanks. I worked too hard most of my life to go live in Mexico and take care of others. Perhaps if you were not so self centered and actually knew something about the reality of the situation, you would understand this isn't whining, but it is being an advocate for people I feel are being wronged. BTW, are you Jewish?? My Mother is Jewish and 88 years old, and was a little girl back in Germany and she says that the Arizona law reminds her ALOT of how her Mother told her things started in the old country. I think I'm getting a point of view from people who were there...who are you getting your point of view from????
Oh, and Hammy.....
On your point about the Holocaust, not only is your comparison grossly inaccurate, but it's also so refreshing, believe it or not.
Because I just know you *must* feel the same way about abortion.
Now THAT is a Holocaust....
Surely if you believe the way "ILLEGAL aliens" are being "treated" (ie, some states are attempting to actually uphold the law).... is akin to the holocaust
Then you must certainly feel the slaughter of millions of babies every year, in the USA is the ultimate Holocaust aside from the REAL one so long ago?
Ham
I am not sure why you're personally attacking my character, when I've not labled you selfish or anything else of the kind.
But if you insist on playing it that way, that's fine.
You're stupid. I just can't think of any other way to describe you.
You've managed to decide that anyone who is for enforcing immigration laws, is a racist and selfish.
You've managed to compare people sneaking into our country, to the holocaust simply because most Americans don't appreciate it.
You've manage to completely misunderstand any type of dialogue that might be discussed because you're so busy race and personality baiting you're missing the point.
And you clearly didn't READ my few last posts.
I haven't been to Mexico, I was in Caracas thrice though, and I can tell you that when I accidentally lost my Visa, upon LEAVING that country, I was detained, and questioned. I thankfully found it in my bags, but they were not about to let me LEAVE the country. You have no sense a
There is NO reason on God's green earth why this country should continue to reward illegal criminal behavior, simply because democrats desire the hispanic vote, and people like yourself, can't distinguish between laws, and racism.
Good luck with that "Ham"....
And btw, I'm not sure why you keep interjecting your age, but I'm not exactly a baby myself.
You my friend, are most seriously misinformed, misguided, and overly emotional.
Typical....
@Hammyshanks and Vegas Roy:
Go to
www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7WJeqxuOfQ
This is a MUST SEE video for anyone interested in the immigration debate, whether you are a citizen, an illegal alien or a Congressman. Take 10 minutes to watch this and THEN GET BACK TO ME. These are unbiased facts that cant be ignored.
My great-grandsons mother is an Illegal Immigrant I love my grandson, his beautiful Mexican wife and the beautiful baby they produced. Believe me, MY HEARTSTRINGS ARE INVESTED in this issue but facts are facts.
Oh lol...
Naturally. You've got a relative that is Jewish and witnessed the Holocaust first hand LOL...
How trite....
If that's true, which I doubt, then your relative ought to be put in a time out. To compare what was done to the Jews, to illegal aliens being detained and/or deported, is sick, vile, and beyond disrepectful.
You and she, ought to be morbidly ashamed....
I think Ham, that you ought to write a letter to Calderon, expressing your concern, over the Holocaust-like treatment of people that are in his country (mexico) illegally... you wouldn't want THEM treated that way, now would you?
Better get writing.
And while you're at it, you'd probly better write to every other country on the face of this Earth.... as they all have immigration policy that they actively enforce.
So much importance on the law. A complete disregard for humanity as opposed to the law. You just can't put yourself in their place, can you?? Oh, you like their culture, their food and whatnot, but for them to want the same things that you take for granted in this country. Well, they are just out of line for that. If I was over there with my family, I don't care what law I had to break to get over here no what the consequences.
<laughs> your so in love with the culture cause you go on vacation and can impress the natives by speaking their language and throwing your money around...but for them to want to be in the United States...well, that's just them flying to close to the sub, isn't it?? Nice attitude. And I suppose if the "LAW" said you had to turn in illegals for Euthanasia?? You'd be ok with that?? Maybe even more ok with it if they gave you a nice reward?? I thought so.
I don't dislike hispanics, Mexicans , or any other race or ethnicity that might come here.
What I won't tolerate, is people doing it illegally, while our government looks the other way, sues American citizens that attempt to protect their land and borders, and fools like Hammy proclaim anyone that is for maintaining, protecting and ensuring the sovereignty of our country is automatically a racist, selfish jerk.
I don't see any sympathy from you Ham, for the folks that immigrated, from say India, that went through the painstaking process of doing it legally... why not?
Seems to me like maybe you're the selfish and misguided one.
Illegal behavior for some, forced legal entry for others...
Racist? I think so.....
Oh Wow, Ham, I'm not sure what to make of your last post. You're nuts though, that I can see.
I went to Caracas in the early 90's, as a young lady, late teens. Before Chavez destroyed that country and before it was too dangerous as an American to travel there. I didn't have any "money to throw around" I had worked at BURGER KING to save up enough money to go, and stayed with a family, not in a hotel.
I fell in love with a Venezuelan boy I'd met in my home town in Oklahoma, he was there in Tulsa taking a break from college to learn English and I didn't speak Spanish when I went to Venezuela. I went there to visit him, and to LEARN the language through emersion.
You have managed yet again, to make a complete and utter fool of yourself.
LOL... keep on, you're amusing me.
"the law said you had to turn in illegals for euthanasia"
Ummm, the law doesn't say that Hambone... and it never will.
Why are you dealing in psychotic hypotheticals?
You sound like a 12 year old, honestly, I feel as though I'm speaking to someone that is either a child, or has nerve damage, drugs perhaps?
I am not sure what else to say LOL..
Your arguments, if you could call them that, have been irrational, baseless, totally off topic, and you've managed to not answer or address even one of my querries or points as of yet.
And then you say psychotic things like "euthanasia"...
Last I checked, as I reminded you already, Mexico's policy on the treatment of illegal Americans is far harsher.
You need a wake up call hon,,, you're incredibly ... ummm, err...
never mind, it'd be cruel of me to point it out.
