As promised at last week's press conference held for Jessica Colotl, illegal immigration advocate Rich Pellegrino, Director of the Cobb Immigrant Alliance held a press release to provide proof of Cobb County Sheriff Neil Warren's "selective enforcement of the law based on race, vulnerability and political expediency."
Groups in attendance were New Order, led by Gerald Rose and the SCLC's Rev. Dwight Graves. Later in the press conference, Adelina Nicholls of GLAHR gave a statement. Charles Muhammed of the Nation of Islam did not attend. Other groups mentioned on the press release but not in attendance were: NOHRO, NAN, GALEO and SPLC.
New Order calls itself a human rights organization and has been in Atlanta since 2000. The SCLC (Southern Christian Leadership Conference) is a civil rights organization founded by Dr. Martin Luther King. Rev. Graves is a member of the National Board of the Directors of the SCLC.
Mr. Rose compared the illegal immigration debate to the civil rights struggle. He further stated that African-Americans stand with the Latino community in the debate. The Rev. Graves stated that they were there to speak on behalf of anyone "oppressed". Further, he stated that they were not there to "circumvent the law" but they wanted "righteousness and justice to flow like waters in mighty streams." African-Americans are one of the groups most affected by the illegal immigration.
According to the press release, Rich Pellegrino alleges Sheriff Neil Warren "only follows the Georgia Code and enforces those statutes when it is politically expedient to do so, as in the case of college student Jessica Colotl and looks the other way when the offender is one of his supporters or friends, as in the case of [immigrantion] activist D.A. King, State Representative Matt Dollar and State Senator John Wiles."
Mr. Pellegrino alleged that Sherriff Warren allowed D.A. King to acquire and display false identification during a Cobb Commission meeting in violation of Ga. Code 16-9-4.
D.A. King, President of the Dustin Inman Society attended the press conference, spoke in response to the allegations and issued a statement. The IDs in question are replicas of Mexican Matricular Consular ID cards and they are the size of a 17" widescreen computer monitor and has the word "NOVELTY" in red on the front and back of the 17" IDs. Sheriff Warren researched the charges brought by Mr. Pellegrino then dismissed the allegations. Fielding questions from the press, Mr. King stated that the 17" novelty items do not pass for ID and cannot be used as ID; they are merely educational tools.
Just days ago, Rich Pellegrino and other illegal immigration advocates celebrated the release of Jessica Colotl. Ms. Colotl is the 21-year old Kennesaw State University (KSU) illegal alien student slated for deportation for violating immigration laws but given a one-year deferral by ICE. Subsequently, Ms. Colotl was arrested for giving false information to Cobb Police officers upon her arrest. She bonded/bailed out of jail hours later.
State Senator John Wiles and State Rep. Matt Dollar did not have anyone in attendance to speak on the accusations. Both are running for re-election in their respective districts.

That idiotic jerk Gerald Rose will apparently advocate for anyone. A couple of years ago when two teens in Fulton were on trial for baking to death a puppy, the fool showed up to advocate for THEM. He certainly has no credence. But he and the other illegal lovers certainly like to yell "racial profiling" when that has NOTHING to do with wanting illegals to leave our country.
What a farce.
When all else fails cry Racism!
Lying thieving parasitic illegal aliens are now the oppressed people. Only in American do we morph criminals like Jessica Colotl into being the victim.
Its an upside down world.
Where is the coalition for the civil rights of American citizens? As a White American, where is the group that is going to stand up and fight for me when I break the laws of this country? Who is going to stand up and say they are "Racially Profiling" me because I'm White? I can be called "Whitey", "Honkey", "Redneck", and any number of derogatory terms but who is going to stand up for me and say that is wrong?
When President Obama's Preacher, the Reverend Wright made derogatory statements about America and the "White Establishment", who stood up and said that is discriminatory and racist?
I am expected to obey the laws of this country or pay the consequences, if I'm caught driving without a licence, who is going to stand up and say I should not be punished because I am White and I'm being discriminated against? If I lie to the police about where I live and my phone number, who will say I'm discriminated against and being racially profiled because I'm "white" and an American citizen?
Baking to death a puppy?
Are you saying the 2 illegal aliens baked a puppy to death?
I'd love get my hands on them if this is true. I hate animal abuser with a passion.
Latinos are always name calling because they wish to be left alone while illegally in the United States.
They are becoming the most hated jerks in the U.S.
