According to Prince William County police, they carried out 2,138 DUI arrests in 2009.
286 of those arrests, or 13 percent of those charged with the offense, were illegal aliens.
While there are no hard numbers on just how many illegal aliens currently reside in Prince William County, a 2007 study, estimated the number around 7 to 8 percent of the county’s population.
A week ago, a nun was killed in Prince William by a drunk driving illegal alien.
On August 1, Prince William County police arrested Carlos A. Martinelly Montano, 23, after he slammed head on into a car in which three Benedictine nuns were traveling. Sister Denise Mosier was killed instantly, her two companions were taken by helicopter to the hospital where they both remain in serious condition.
Montano was charged with DUI and involuntary manslaughter.
It was actually Montano’s third DUI arrest in Prince William County over the last five years. At the time of the crash, the illegal alien was free on bond while awaiting deportation proceedings.
The case has received national attention and has many Americans calling for Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano’s resignation.
According to spokesman Jonathan Perok, Prince William County Police notified ICE after both his first and second DUI arrests. The department is now investigating how the illegal alien was able to obtain a valid driver’s license.
Corey Stewart, chairman of the Prince William Board of Supervisors, issued the following statement on the case: “The despicable thing is that this criminal was … handed over to ICE twice, and released by ICE twice. He’s gone out an killed a nun. That’s a perfect example of what’s wrong with immigration enforcement in this country. The blame is on representatives in Congress for being so flaccid on the issue, and they continue not to fund the deportation of illegal immigrants in this country.”
Of course, Prince William County, Va. Is thousands of miles from the Mexican border.
Unfortunately, what at one time, was a crisis restricted to the American Southwest—is now clearly a national crisis that threatens the lives of all Americans.
How many of people must die before we have a federal government which stops spending time and resources against those of us trying to stop illegal immigration, and actually enforce the law?

True American: He was ONCE a legal resident,but not a citizen. DUI is one of the offenses that can trigger a loss of legal residency and deportation.

The real criminal in this tragedy is ICE head,John Morton. He has created a de facto amnesty for many "categories" of illegal aliens he deems not a "threat" to the community. He has openly stated he is in favor of CIR which is nothing more than a code word for AMNESTY . Everyone please write your rep and/or senator to demand he be fired and replaced immediately with anyone who knows what ICE's mandate is, enforce the law!

The real criminal is Janet Napolitano who empowered John Morton to set ICE agency policies and directives to the field ICE agents to refrain from carrying out their sworn duties. Janet Napolitano is a open advocate of amnesty and all the criminality associated with. She is incompetent and needs to resign and Michael Chertoff should be recalled to fill the DHS secretary position. He did a good job under GWB.
ICE Agents Cast 'Vote of No Confidence' in Agency Leadership
The National Immigration and Customs Enforcement Council, which represents 7,000 Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents across the nation, cast a "Vote of No Confidence" for ICE Director John Morton and Asst. Director Phyllis Coven. Union leaders said that they have "abandoned the Agency's core mission of enforcing United States Immigration Laws..."
The "Vote of No Confidence" was made official in early-June and details of the vote were listed in a release issued by the National Council 118 division of the American Federation of Government Employees.
"It is the desire of our union within ICE and our employees to publicly separate ourselves from the actions of Director Morton and Assistant Director Coven and publicly state that ICE officers and employees do not support Morton or Coven, or their misguided and reckless initiatives, which could ultimately put many Americans at risk."
Impeach Obama.
