On Feb. 26, police in Zebulon arrested Guadalupe Guillen-Martinez, 26, following an investigation that began in August.
Guillen-Martinez reportedly molested a 10-year-old girl and recorded hundreds of images, including videos of the abuse.
The News & Observer reported:
The girl’s cell phone held six videos of Guillen-Martinez and “approximately 533” pictures of the girl doing actions that Guillen-Martinez directed her to do, according to the request to search his apartment at 1616 Maplewood Lane in Greensboro.
Police have not disclosed how Guillen-Martinez became acquainted with the victim.
Guillen-Martinez has been charged with six counts of first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, four counts of second-degree sexual exploitation and three counts of taking indecent liberties with a child.
Guillen-Martinez is currently being held at the Wake County Detention Center on $100,000 bond, and an ICE detainer.
His next court appearance is scheduled for March 17.
