On Sunday night, the bloody bodies of 21-year-old Deisy Garcia, 1-year-old Yaslin Mejia and 2-year-old Daniela Mejia were discovered by Garcia's uncle in the family's Jamaica, Queens apartment.

All three were stabbed to death.

The couple reportedly had a tumultuous relationship, as police responded twice last year to the couple's home for domestic violence complaints. However, no formal charges were ever filed against Mejia-Ramos.

The New York Post reported:

Garcia and Mejias-Ramos argued violently at a recent baby shower that Garcia helped organize and for which she cooked.

“At the shower, he hit her in the bathroom and she cursed him out,” Villa claimed, noting that he was furious because there was no beer being served at the party, which was held at the church .

I tell her, ‘Call the police — police help. But she didn’t. She was illegal,” Villa said of the Guatemalan immigrant.

Mejia-Ramos was driving a stolen vehicle with New York commercial plates when he was taken into custody.

The Mexican national was turned over to the U.S. Marshals, who are transporting him back to New York where he is expected to face three counts of first-degree murder.
