On December 29th, 2011, State Representative Kelly Cassidy (D-Chicago) noted the nomination deadline for her Good Neighbor Business of the Year Award is January 15th, 2012. The winner will be selected at Rep. Cassidy’s Economic Development Community Advisory Committee on January 19th, 2012.
“The Good Neighbor Award was created to reward businesses that take an active role in improving our community,” Cassidy said. “As long as a business has helped make the area we live, play, and work in a better place, it can be nominated for the Good Neighbor Business of the Year Award.”
Nominations must be submitted to Rep. Cassidy’s Office at 5533 N. Broadway or by email to RepCassidy@gmail.com.

The recipient will be formally recognized by the Illinois House of Representatives. “I encourage all residents of the 14th district to nominate a business that has helped sponsor an event, donated to a cause, improved the neighborhood, or was simply a good neighbor to others.” Cassidy said.
