Amy Malin welcomed everyone to The Sweet Suite and introduced the co-founders of the Juvenile Arthritis Association, Laura and Joel Rothman and their daughter Sophia who suffers from Juvenile Arthritis. Joel and Sophia shared the mission of the JAA, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization who aims to bring Community, Awareness, Research and Empowerment (CARE) to children and young adults diagnosed with pediatric rheumatic diseases, as well as to their families. The Rothmans explained that pediatric rheumatic diseases, often broadly categorized as juvenile arthritis, affect an estimated 1 in 250 children, yet they receive only a tiny fraction of the funding, both private and federal, allocated to almost any other serious chronic childhood disease. A young woman who lives with juvenile arthritis spoke of how important The Sweet Suite is to herself and the juvenile arthritis community to help shine a spotlight on the disease and to raise much needed awareness and funding. Kris Thomas, a member of Team Shakira on NBC’s hit show “The Voice” sent a special video message to everyone at the party. Kris’ mother suffers from arthritis and he cares deeply about bringing attention to the cause. Kris was sad he was unable to be at the event, but he left everyone wanting more when he sang the line “I’m Saving All My Love For You”, from one of Whitney Houston’s biggest hits by the same name. Bronkar Lee , the world’s only rhythmic juggling beatboxer, who won over the hearts of Americans with his talked about performances on “The Tonight show” and on “America’s Got Talent” performed an incredible set that had the audience erupting with applause and cheers. Bronkar amazed with his beat-boxing routine where he produced five distinct sounds simultaneously turning himself into a one man hip-hop orchestra and then proceeded to dazzle the crowd with his fast and furious harmonica arrangement. Bronkar closed his set by rhythmically juggling five balls while beat-boxing without every missing a beat. Alyson Hannigan, Alexis Denisof and their daughters were loving every second of Bronkar’s performance. The crowd went wild for Bronkar. Groovy David rocked the turn-tables and then led the patients and celebrity guests in an awesome dance party. “True Blood” star Chloe Noelle gave a spontaneous rendition of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’” while Groovy David and “The First Family” star Layla Crawford served as backup dancers and air guitar players.

“It was a real joy to see such huge smiles on all of the beautiful faces of juvenile arthritis patients at The Sweet Suite this weekend. We’re so happy that everyone had fun spending the day with their favorite stars in Candy Land while enjoying all of the delicious sweets, treats and gifts. We are grateful to all of our incredibly generous sponsors, and especially are dear friends iiJin and Cassian in Hong Kong, who joined us in making this amazing party possible for the patients of the Juvenile Arthritis Association, said Amy Malin, partner at TrueheartEvents.

“We just saw the gorgeous photos from the event and we love seeing the pure joy we helped spread by hosting The Sweet Suite with our friends at Trueheart Events.
